Ambition and pride and independent thinking are seen as positive everywhere but Watchtower land.

    Excellent list.

Some more lies I was told:

    - In the past the Bible Students renamed themselves 'Jehovah's Witnesses'. Fact: There was actually a schism that occurred. The Bible Students still exist. The group that split off called themselves Jehovah's Witnesses.

    - The 1914 generation will not pass away.

    - Handing out Watchtower and Awake magazines ensures eternal life.

    - 1960's and 1970's: Armageddon is coming soon. You won't need to go to high school or need a career. You will not grow old.

    - 1983: Armageddon is coming soon. You won't need to go to College or University. You will not grow old.

    - 2009: Armageddon is coming soon. You need to become a Jehovah's Witness.

Oh, Vidiot, I doubt you are ugly. Although I think our avatars would both rate very high on the unattractive scale....

    More lies I was told:

"Jehovah's Witnesses are preaching to all the inhabitted Earth."

Outside of the obvious mathematical issue with this, there's the fact that indigenous tribal peoples are still being discovered that have never had any contact with any one of the big 3 faiths. For example, in 2008 this Amazonian tribe was discovered:

    Amazon Tribe 2008

This tribe was found in 2011:

    Well done williamhconley

One should keep in mind that this organization was originally founded upon commercialized charlatanism by disingenuous ignorant men running their own publishing house.

Just because something gets printed into books or magazines doesn't necessarily mean that the information contained in those publications has real broad based actualization.

cultBgone - "Oh, Vidiot, I doubt you are ugly."

    Oh, thank God.

I used to think I was nice-looking, but then started to worry when women would take one look at me and flee screaming in terror.

    Now I feel reassured.

And the lies just keep on comin' ....

When I was a kid, blood transfusions and blood products were strictly forbidden. Yet I was told that everyone has a chance to become a JW.

The 2nd statement contradicts the 1st statement.

If you required blood products to remain alive, such as a hemophiliac, then you could not become a JW because taking in blood products was forbidden.

Their new 'blood fractions' stance has only confused everyone. There are older ones who still hold to the 'no blood' doctrine (such as my Father).
