I sweat out all of my hormones at the end of my cycle every month. For those few days, I will go through 3 different pair of pajamas and several towels to cover up the literally human outlined soaking wet spot on the bed. My 2 pillows get flipped over so I have 4 dry sides. It's ridiculous the amount of laundry I go through on those 3 nights.

Then my hormones are all gone for the month and shark week begins, for which I am ever so grateful.

If it happened more often than that, I'd be extremely miserable.

    Uh huh, Clarity.

I wash the lemon real well, then just chomp into it.

An ice cold glass of water will get rid of the bitter aftertaste.

    Then, I'm good to go.

    Seriously.

I remember an article in the NYTimes a few years ago about HRT and the responses came pouring in mainly from women of course. So many of them said I'm in my 70 or 80s and they still have hot flashes, so I guess it lasts forever !!

I keep my fan out year round and at night I open the window a bit, two minutes later I cool down and shut it, three minutes later I open the window, get up three minutes later and shut it again , three minutes later open the window again . . . . . .

Shirley, yes I am with you on that.

I also find myself shivering when I strip down.

No win situation at the moment.

    Will keep you posted.

Start drinking pure, organic soy milk twice a day. It will stop hot flashes and you will feel way better. It is guaranteed to work.

The only thing that worked for me was natural progesterone that is made up by the natural compound pharmacist. It's horse urine and emu oil. You need a prescription from your family doctor for it. It takes a few weeks to get absorbed into your system. I wouldn't live with out it. The minute I put it on, I sleep like a baby.

I read up on it. The book is named What Doctors Don't Tell You About Premenopause by Dr. Lee. I haven't had a night sweat since. There's another book out named What Doctors Don't Tell You About Menopause as well.

My family doctor didn't even know how to write out the prescription so he called the pharmacist. Half a teaspoon per day is all you need. Just rub it on before going to bed. Out here compound pharmacists are few. I wish you the best.

One other thing with natural progesterone, there are no side effects unlike estrogen.

My wife had the problem. You have to go to a doctor and have him examine your blood.

I think he gave her hormones that she rubs on her body and some thyroid medicine.

Since she does that she no longer has the problem.

I think she has hormone replacement therapy.

We tried a lot of over the counter health food store stuff but none of that worked like the hormones.

She has been taking the hormones for 2 years and no sweats during that time and also she lost weight with the

    hormones.
