Banning is a bad idea and counterproductive. However, like with cigarettes which come with a warning label, there should be a public education campaign on the Watchtower and other cults. Also, like cigarettes, the Watchtower should be taxed and taxed hard. The Watchtower’s wealth should be redistributed to those whom it has hurt.
Do You Believe That Jehovah's Witnesses Should Be Outlawed As They Are In Some Countries?

No,but I beleive the WT corporation should pay taxes, and health benefits to their full time workers, that apply to any business in that country, they should be subject to the laws they have in place to protect their citizens from being exploited by a business. They should be required to fill out yearly earning statements and be held accountable just like any other Incorporated business profit or nonprofit, religious, spiritual, or whatever.
This should apply to ALL religions across the board.
Pay taxes like the rest of us do.
Money spent on charitable enterprises would be deductions, just as every business has deductions.
Money paid to support "staff" would be taxable income to the staff.
The (US) Constitution does not grant religion a free pass. That's a decision that has been made by the US Gov't (IRS) and each individual State.

As frankie said "remove tax exempt status". Does anyone think they would have started the donation arrangement for literature if it wasn't for tax reasons? Make them have to show their financial books and that would be more useful than outlawing them. Because the membership can't follow the money they assume it is being used wisely. If they had a complete accounting there would be no need to ban them...the finances would dry up. No money = no religion

Assuming the government considers the WTS a religion, then will all religions in the US be under the same requirements?
Many religions have more political pull than the WTS, Catholic, Mormons, Scientology, etc., who won't take this lying down and have many members who are active politically and would fight to protect their religion.

How about motivated by tax breaks? Demand accountability, a certain degree of openness about their organizational structure and finances to the public. Otherwise they don't qualify for tax exemption.

No, JWs should not be outlawed in any country.
All non-profit corporations (which would probably only apply to dangerous cults like the WTBTS or dangerous orgs like the Catholic Church and Sandusky's Second Mile Charity) should lose their non-profit status if they do not meet minimum societal expections like DO NOT use BITE control techniques (e.g., promoting shunning and information control) to unduly influence members, and must report all violent criminal activity (e.g., child abuse/molestation and rape) to local law enforcement immediately and before reporting it to thier legal department.
Peace be with you and everyone, who you love,

These comments are pretty much common sense.

I absolutely believe that explicitly harmful practices (blood/shunning) should be legislated against, although that would be difficult when it comes to shunning and disfellowshipping.
However, Jehovah's Witnesses should NOT be outlawed, they have as much right to freedom of expression as we wish for ourselves. Yes I knowthey curtail the freedoms of faders and ex-members by dangling the sword of Damocles over the heads of our families and loved ones but we need to be better than that.
Put them out of business by kind words, reasoning, firm and dogged persistence and INCLUSION!
