If it was intentional, it suggests the WT is actually capable of subtlety.

Having a "use" for other human beings sounds like slavery. In fact, JW's proudly tout themselves as "slaves." The old folks may be lucky in that sense. However, they need not count on their "loving brothers and sisters" if they're infirm or sickly. I am old, but I have "entered into the joy" of having no master.l
Look at the way they show disdain for older men who want to be "soft" on people. Just look at the elder training video.
They want to get rid of the evidence .....
The old literature is destroyed.
All those who know too much will soon be gone.
WT is playing with fire investing too much in these up and coming 30, 40 and 50 old elders. Most elders of this age due to the internet are much more 'street savvy' in that they are becomming more and more aware of WT's past and present flip-flops, flaws and hypocrisy early in life.
Most of the young elders who are now serving are doing it for the prestige and recognition that comes with the position. That'll be short-lived.
What will soon be lacking in these young bucks that you have with the older late 60, 70 and 80 years-olds is stamina, endurance and loyalty to WT's cause.
I see WT having more and more problems not so much with rank and file as with loyalty, dependabilty and stick-to-itiveness from these younger bucks!
WT is retiring District Overseers, has sent older JWs serving at Bethel packing despite years of faithful service, and as of June 1, 2014,
has announced that any elder that has reached 80 years of age is no longer valued or wanted as a COBE. In WT Land it would appear
that older people have little or no value, and WT sees no reason to use them in any meaningful capacity.
I wonder how this makes older ones feel after devoting their lives to WT's interests while shelving

As a pre-emptive rebuttal to any apologist who may say we're reading too much into the WT's elder training videos, and the details we've pointed out are benign, here's WT's bold claim:
"...In summary, the Writing Department insists on using only material that is accurate and truthful, even regarding seemingly insignificant details. As a result, “the faithful and discreet slave” can consistently supply spiritual food that brings honor to “the God of truth,” Jehovah."

This was printed prior to WT's extensive use of video and, obviously, the Internet or JW.org. But, they've printed nothing since that time which contradicts the above quotes, so we can reasonably conclude that everything in the videos, even "seemingly insignificant details", are there intentionally.
