LOL @ Random.
You left out ovum.
I believe our bodies return to the dust, but our spirit (what we were as a person, our essence) returns to God.
I believe in the two resurrections the Bible mentions, but have no idea what process God will use to accomplish this.
I'm so sorry about the death of your friend.
Keep searching, but beware of those who claim to have ALL the answers.
Blessings.
This is a question no one can answer.
Any answers will be guess work, supposition depending on your own personal reason for requiring to believe that there is an afterlife.
Some peole are inculcated from childhood and just continue with that belief unquestionably.
Some lose loved ones and are directed by charlatans to believe they will be reunited with them, quoting religious man made texts based on stories and myth ie zero proof.
The ONLY certainty is that we will all cease to exist.
If you have blood family who survive you (children, grandchildren )some of your dna will carry on and hopefully have a positive bearing on your future generations.
So a little part of you in theory will go on in our natural physical world.
Best wishes.
"Now if there is, in fact, no awareness in death, but it is like sleep - the kind in which the sleeper does not even dream at all - then death would seem to be a marvelous gain" - Socrates
This is a question from the ages... Again, a fear of which leads to enslave the minds of so many. I say embrace death and accept it as a gift. Follow your passions as so few do. Cherish the memories of your friend and be happy death ended her pain.
Amen to what AK said.
Enjoy life, follow your passions!
This is a BIG universe, and I firmly believe that each of us has a place in it.
Just this morning I was reading about Kepler 186f, a planet that almost mirrors ours.
Also, scientists have figured out that a vast ocean once covered most of Mars.
Fascinating stuff!
Live, dear one, and let live.
It'll all be sorted out in the end.
Blessings.
We go somewhere - of this I am convinced. For me the evidence supports this conclusion.
