Is the Watchtower Intentionally Trying to Force People to Leave the Organization?

    Thank you for this thread!

It captures that which I've been feeling for some time now. They are cynically exploiting the friends.

They do less and less for publishers but also try to whip them into a frenzy. It's truly cold-hearted. As I've suggested before, they may have realized how futile their "disciple-making" work is, as it now attracts the chronically sick, the unemployed, the mentally ill and third world people who have only pennies to offer.

More and more worth less and less - relative to Watchtower greed. Now it's time for 'devil take the hindmost'.

So the November WT is really crazy.

There is one part where they state obeying the organization is what is most important.

Then they have about 3 pages concerning the blood issue. They say JW must avoid blood transfusions even in life and death situations. They state a person can only have peace with god if they obey the blood doctrine.

Then they mention again that JW need to shun df ones even among family. With their example of Aaron's family not able to mourn his sons death they say in other words JWs shouldn't mourn about their df relatives, even putting more pressure of them.

This all packed in a friendly tone. Hipocrisy and indoctrination at its best.

I am glad though about that WT. One more reason to show my parents or friends who ask why I don't attend meetings.

It's a bit like porn in mainstream movies: Nothing radically new - I mean sex is sex right? - just more graphic. The sheets are off!

That Watchtower article's infamy lies in its graphically stark depiction of mid-Tribulation life via a photo of a meeting in a bunker - that's all.

Perhaps too we credit your average JW with too much sensitivity and/or critical scrutiny? For many it will be ho-hum what's on TV tonight?

I guess, though, if it has any impact on the hard core Witnesses, it will tighten their wilful embrace of the organization's dogma. I remember how unsufferable the hard core Witnesses became in the lead-up to 1975 - hell I was one of them!

I can't help but feel the fact they've packed all this into the January 2015 article is telling. Is it coincidence that it's coming in the first month after the 100th anniversary of Jesus' invisible reign since 1914? I think not.

There's a deliberate message in this timing, and I think it's something like: "Just because it's 100 years since 1914 and Jesus still hasn't returned, don't go thinking were going soft and reforming any time soon! So quit your whining, quit writing to us about how we have this and that all wrong! It's our way or the highway! Obey or scram!"

The beating of the slaves will continue until morale improves!

You can not imagine how glad and grateful I am that my spirit compelled me to flee this morbidly unhealthy group of people and their organization.

They are nothing what so ever to do with any kind of benevolent, loving and kind God.. or any recognizable form of love at all.

Examining the whole picture from the outside they look completely messed up on every level top to bottom, inside and out.

I think one is better off taking ones chances out alone in the wilderness.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. It think the mag strikes us because we have more analytical ability, discernment, and heck, outright intelligence; that's why we're on this forum. I really think all the mag will do is excite those still in. I'm thinking my family members are just going to be more determined to stay loyal to the org after considering the mag.

I have felt this for a while.

They are winnowing, testing people's loyalty and hopefully the weak links will go away.

They probably figure Jesus himself did this (make contentious statements) to sort people out.

Humm, "Assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me",

Really Jesus. So you think they are on a witch hunt, sorry

    an apostate hunt. Silly people...

Aha....So the only way to learn about a religious organization is from that organization itself? So we can safely disregard everything the WTS says about Catholics, Mormons, Jews, etc.? Sweet.

Sir82, this point never came to my mind but the JW's are the first to attack organzations like the Catholics. Again a typical JW cult mind that they are right and everyone else is wrong.

    1) We are giving the faithful too much credit. They wont even notice anything. Expect massive head bobbing and heartfelt regurgitation.

    2) Let's not insult Nazis by comparing them to the GB.
