Probably trying to prove they are long suffer-ring.

My Uncle Pelican used to say, "Any more than 2 rings on two fingers is a No-No cause it makes the other fingers feel naked."

This is one of the weirdest threads .... I know so many people who wear rings? My roommate wears three?

Whack-a-doo! I agree with Rebel8, what's the big deal? I guess it's just one of those 'making fun of JWs for no solid reason' threads.

And I doubt he'd be flashing a Free Mason ring if he has one ........ that would be just TOO obvious, as they are hard to come by - rarely does a non FM possess one. This I know because I sold them for many years.

    :)

Correction: I guess it's just one of those 'making fun of THE GB clowns for no solid reason' threads.

If you have the damn money to buy a second gold ring, why not simply hide the second one and use it for when the dollar becomes toilet paper? Flashing gold is about as sensible as flashing big bills of paper money when it has purchasing power, and pretty soon people are going to be desperate for that gold just to survive. And, if the jokehovians are supposed to be impoverished themselves, where did these jokehovian leaders get all their money in the first place?

    Talesin,

I didn't say he HAS a Masonic ring, but one similar in concept. it could be a Watchtower Governing Body Signet.

Actually, reaction does not center round the wearing of rings per se but rather the organization's own hammering down on any decorum diversity within local congregations. Case in point: I recall local elders frowning upon my wearing a dress ring to meetings - a ring I inherited from my late uncle (himself a JW). The core message was it gave an appearance of worldly attention-seeking. Fast forward a few decades, and the leaders themselves weight down their pinkies wearing chunky rings. That's the point I am making - the organization's own busy-body meddling in matters of personal adornment - but putting itself on an above-it-all scrutiny when it comes to having the 'freedom' to adorn itself with worldly trappings.

Isn't ring slang for an anus?
