Ashamed as I am now to admit it , I would have refused blood for my wife , myself and my 2 children ,if the situation had arose.

As I acknowledge today, nobody forced/made me to become a jehovahs witness , I took this step voluntarily beleiving they were the "truth"and were directed by a god they called jehovah.

I wish I knew then what I know now. So many lives needlessly lost especially childrens, following the dictates of a few men in Brooklyn, NY.USA

Not only would I have not accepted blood, I personally marked an elder's wife for her decision to accept fractions for some medical problem that she later died from. I MARKED that bitch and she died for her error.

    Yeah... I was that person.

    I shudder!

I was all in on the Wt. Blood doctrine until as an Elder I sat in a hospital with a husband who had just lost his wife due to hemorrhaging.

Life is precious...blood in the bible represents life...it is a symbol of life.

So I, an many others, were willing to uphold a view that God has on the SYMBOL of something to the cost of the very thing that it symbolizes.

    MENTAL.

I love my wife, we have a marriage...we have wedding rings which are a symbol of our marriage...would I give up my wedding rings to save my marriage?

    Yes...

Would I give my my marriage to save my wedding rings? Of course not, then why would a god want us to hold dear his view of the symbol of life at a cost of our very lives in itself?

It just doesn't stand to logic let alone any debate as to what the bible really says about it.

Yes, for most of my JW life I would have refused.

I was still an active JW when I researched the subject more objectively and refused to sign an Alert card or allow my children to have one...
