  Jesus is God. He is God incarnate.

  It is just the way it is.

  We live this life and we get to choose whether we accept God's sovereignty over our life or not.

  It is not like it was a suprise that Adam and Eve sinned.

  It was a plan.

  God knows the end from the begining.

  You don't have to think it was anything great when you really understand it.

  It is just the way it is.

  Jesus said in Revelation 22:13 " I am the alpha and the omega, the first and the last, the begining and the end.

  That to me means he is God.

  The bible is a story to give you the message that you have to accept God/ Jesus in your life to

  spend eternity with him.

  You can reject it and be atheist and live without God.

  Or accept it and have all the blessings.

  God made us, and he is not going to let us spend eternity with him

  if we do not acknowledge and accept him.

  At a certain point it is his way or the highway.

  At least that is the message I get from reading the bible.

  It sounds like you don't want to live with Jesus.

  "Ask anything in my name and I will give it to you" Jesus, NOT! 100 contradictions in the bible. Gods kills woman children animals and vegetation for the acts of angels and their offspring. God condones slavery, genocide, rape and murder. 7000 plus years of this and still your god has done nothing good for humanity. Perfect life for life when Jesus died means nothing for me and has done nothing for me or my family. No proof of a resserection or that anyone has gone to heaven. Proof your god James Brown, was dug up in Ugarit and you worship a guy statue sitting in a chair with one hand out.

  Look....If he can drown hundreds of thousands of people, including babies, in a world wide flood...he can take out his own kid...don't you think?

  When I was in my 40's, I myself could never get over the "ask anything in my name

  and I will give it to you.

  I was always experimenting with that one.

  I asked a lot of things,

  Sometimes it took a while to get them,

  Somethings you just cant ask for and get in this life.

  Having said that, This imaginary God didn't sacrafice his son.

  He died himself, He was God incarnate.

  I find the Chritain concept of Jesus' death to be delightfully full of contradiction.

  My cousin, who is very protective of my young nieces, will not allow disturbing things to be posted on their facebook pages.

  But he does not seem to have a problem with allowing this photo to be posted on their timelines:

  

  Apparently, violent images will disturb his children....but this one is acceptable.

  Go figure.

  But like Tom Petty says the waiting is the hardest part.

  When you are waiting for your desired outcome,

  you can say a prayer with your request daily then put it out of your mind

  and go about your business.

  So prayer and God can be like a crutch, an aid, a tool.

  Prayer can help one stay focused and still funcition.

  That information is brought to us by the church and the bible

  and in many instances it leads to success.

  Maybe someday the information will be delivered by another source,

  But in my day 50 years ago before the information age, it wasn't.

  There are most likely success/ positive thinking gurus that teach how to

  get what you want without prayer, but their ways seem similar.

  write down your goals and look at your list everyday.

  That method of writing down your goals and looking at it everyday works.

  So if you find that out from a success guru and not a preacher

  you can end up being the success gurus disciple.

  That could be a good thing.
