I for one feel she has so much emotion, that she can't help herself but to use so many exclamation points. But more to the point, she has had

many doubts over time and this was the straw that broke the camels back. This has to be very hard for her and her family, this is so much for her to swallow.I'm sure there are more out there feeling the same way but so confused by the way they have been taught for so long.May more

people have her strenght and bravery to write and stand for thier children.

I agree, it's written with real passion and fury, as if she wants to snatch the GB 'from the fire'. I wonder how many similar letters they are getting that aren't cc'd to Bill?

This sister is unbelievably courageous, if you don't understand that then you have never been in her shoes.

I think this is a battle that will be fought on the backs of the sisters.

How does the BOE deal with Sister Bertha or Sister Marg ? Two older women who are faithful and kind, who have brought food to the sick, cared for the needy, who are loved by every member of the congregation?

The BOE will have more sense than to disfellowship or disassociate them because at that point the middle aged sisters will jump on their band wagon.

Surely the elders realize that women have zero concept of the good old boy policy as in Im a company man.

Women dont think like men. I see the Governing Body doing articles on submission to brothers, etc. But that could back fire on them too.

I believe the numbers are something in the order of 68% of baptized JWs are females.

If there's one single thing that would change the WTS forever it would be this: Putting women in charge instead of men (or maybe even in addition to men). If there was a 'rule' that said there had to be proportional representation on the GB or in congregations by gender, women would be calling a lot of the shots.

The GB is very aware of this, which is part of the reason for constant reminders regarding headship and submission.

    I am glad!

I am also glad she pointed out there were lots of things she didn't agree with but she kept silent, "waiting on Jehovah" I think a lot of us who were in the borg felt the same way several times over lots of things. She hit her breaking point like so many of us already have. I applaud her for writting them a formal letter announcing it to them that she was sick of them.

I wish I had done the same.

I think unless one has a PHD in English one should not citicize puncuation or spelling.

So we all have been witnesses at one time or another and was brain washed about the blood and those who die will be ressurected blah,blah,blah... so give the lady a break.

She has at lease opened her eyes to one subject, more than we did when we were true loyal JWs.

Thank you for posting the letter, silentlambs.

I, too, applaud the courage for this sister to write this letter. Think about it...think about those of us that truely believed the "Truth" and felt that our personal salvation lay within active participation of the borg. Remember how it felt to walk away. Remember how it felt to feel so let down by something that we held in such high esteem? Remember the courage to walk away....what it took to each and everyone of us to finally say we have had enough. Whatever our reasons may have been, they resulted in the same outcome and that was spiritual freedom.

While this sister has shown a lot of intestinal fortitude, sadly, she will probably be the next one to appear before a Judicial Committee. Before they disfellowship her, tough, they will do their best to convice her that there really is no problem and that what she saw was just the misguided ramblings of us Apostates.

Hopefully, she'll see through their brainwashing adjustment procedure and inform them to stick it up their Watchtower asses!

Dateline and Silentlambs is definitely having an impact on them and it is long overdue!

It's no wonder Santa is so jolly. He knows where all the bad girls live.

How does the BOE deal withSister Bertha or Sister Marg

the wt has a long history of not thinking much of women- so to think that some guy in writing or service desk is going to be moved is a joke

they will send a letter back to the boe and tell the bro to ; WORK WITH THIS SISTER WHO IS DISPLAYING SIGNS OF BECOMING a Jazebel

as Ray pointed out in his book so correctly--if it ain't coming from a DO, CO or Branch committee memeber<--it matters very little
