Great quote from the old vinyl of Mountain: "This music is meant to be played loud"
Best opening rift this side of Voodoo Child
And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me
And then my grave will warmer, sweeter be
For you will bend and tell me that you love me
And I shall sleep in peace til you come to me
Isn't that Danny Boy?
You got it, Neon.
OK....try this....
Radio playing softly some singer's sad sad song
He's singing about standing in the shadows of love
I guess he feels awfully alone
Cowboy
So try these (two different songs):
In a city of darkness there's no need of the sun
Do I need your permission to turn the other cheek?
Hmmm...nobody bit on these two that I posted earlier...
Here's a clue, they're both Bob Dylan songs (what else would you expect from me?)
Cowboy, those lyrics ring a faint bell, but not enough to bring a title/artist to mind. Neon, Dylan was never a favorite of mine; I only recognize the stuff of his that got airplay. I'm out of the running here.
I still run in silence
Tears of joy might stain my face
And the summer sun might burn me 'til I'm blind

"If I had a million dollars" Bare Naked Ladies
This is fun, I wish I would have found it sooner!
OK COMF,I'll give ya a little more...
Radio playing softly some singer's sad sad song

She says I know exactly what he means Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
And it's a sad, sad feeling when you're living on those in-betweens
But it's okay
Mac,I think that's Gentle On my Mind by Glen Campbell
Cowboy
I've been drivin' all night, my hand's wet on the wheel
There's a voice in my head that drives my heel
It's my baby callin', says I need you here
And it's a half past four and I'm shiftin' gear
When she is lonely and the longing gets too much
She sends a cable comin' in from above
Don't need no phone at all
