Hey, here is another song from my childhood that I can't remember the name of. I can still remember most of the words to it though.

The ink is black, the page is white. Together they learn to read and write. A child is black, a child is white. Together they grow to see the light.

Does anyone remember the name? I'd like to find this song if possible. If I knew the name or or the artist I might be able to. I was around 8 when it came out.

Lilacs, I remember the ink/paper song, but not the title or artist. It was good, for its time, but one that may have had a more subtle and therefore far-reaching effect, socially, is "The Girl is Mine", a duet by Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, in which white Paul and black Michael are arguing over a mutual girlfriend.

Comf, it's driving me nuts not being able to recall the name of the song. I keep thinking ebony and ivory but I know that isn't it.

Isn't it always the simple answers that seem to be the hardest to come up with?
