People have been anticipating the WT's demise for years, decades even. I don't think there ever will be a mass exodus and breakup.
Western lands will continue to decline or hold steady. Increase will continue in Third World countries, Africa, Eastern Europe, and the former USSR.
Just as Bill "Slick Willie" Clinton survived his detractors, so will the Witchtower Babble & Trash Shit-ciety.
As long as there are lonely, scared souls in need of a totalitarian mother to take over their life, the Watchtower will survive and prosper.

The reason the Watchtower has not fallen is becuase of it's ability to morph from one form into another. It has New Light TM capabilities which allow it to discard old propheies and teachings and upgrade itself to new ones, leaving along the way side old components and discarded members who were disfellowshipped for believing current truth .
The Watchtower today bears no resemblance to that of the 1800s and the original members would be disfellowshipped on the spot; their views would be regarded as apostate.
The future, though, poses an interesting challenge for this New Light TM Technology. It will have to loose all backwards compatibility with the 1914 platform which will become a distant, obsolete museum piece. Unfortunately most of the J_DUB software is built only to work along with the 1914 format.

It seems to me that as with any living creature you have to strike a 'fatal blow' to bring it down to the ground.
If you just nick and scratch somone they will still go on living. You have to plunge the sword ALL THE WAY in to strike a fatal blow.

Thus in the final account, THEY will be the ones to make that final blow due to THEIR OWN evil practices.

the watchtower relies on the door to door ministry to bring in members......... without new ones comming in, the amount of those "going out" will have a big effect on the organization over a period of time........... the internet, and media, with time, is going to educate and scare of new members........ their structure is way to opressive to even keep their own children in the cult......

its not gonna happen. the media is giving a s*** about the WT. and no matter how absurd the teachings are they will always find new victims. otherwise how do you explain that despite many recent changes (1975, king of the north, the last generation...) the number of JW is still increasing?
the only way to end the madness would be a class action law suit from child abuse victims...that might kill the WT.

The Watchtower will fall, because the scene of the world has changed, and is still changing, in time all organized and oppressive religions will loose its grip because human Evolution will advance beyond our need for authoritarian religion.IMHO
The internet and its free information in the privacy of your own home, will be the big mover, that will bring the WT to its knees. Don't go by the initial reactions of JW's to how this information will impact the Organization, sometimes it takes years to see the full outcome of information we presented to them about the WT. The internet is here to stay for a long time, this interconnectedness of the whole world will get greater and greater, with dire consequenses for Cults and their control. While Evolution is never a straigth line of more advancement, the eventual process does.
The Media's attention to JW is very bad now because of the Pedophile issue and will only get worse no matter what the WT spin doctors do(BABYLON HAS FALLEN). I think the waters will dry up and the WT as well as so many other religions will loose the position of trust that they have over so many. This is what I think.

hi realist, ........the internet is just getting started,,,,,,,,, it wasn't around much in 1975....... ...oppresive control groups are being exposed world wide........... as far as jws still increasing??? .......no they are not!!!.... their increase in membership in underdeveloped countries is barley offsetting their loss of membership in the modern world.........soon the underdeveloped countrys membership increase will peter out too........ on top of all that, they are going to get nailed hard... for harboring pedophiles.
