I think it is encouraging for regular posters and revealing to JW lurkers to see what we are doing.

it is encouarging to other exes to read about the acheivements of those who left 'da fayth'. they succeeded in spite of the wts, which is indeed very gratifying and wonderful to observe.

Lets dispel the appearance of being self-indulgent, voyeuristic, low life perverts that others would expect of us APOSTATES .

i've never read anything here that makes me think anyone here is a low-life pervert. maybe i missed something.

(by the way, if they are lurking, as you say, they're the ones being 'voyeuristic', not us...)

but if i encounter any jw who wants to get out, i will help them get out. i have always said that. and i will listen to them with compassion and without judgement. but any who just want to preach to me or tell me how evil i am can just keep walking.

p.s. i was so engrossed in the content i forgot the topic, sorry. for the record, i have worked as a volunteer with abused children and with preemies. i say that not to show them how 'good' i am, rather because the originator asked. and that doesn't make me a saint if i have, or a sinner if i haven't...

I ask "define 'little worth'? Isnt that a relative term, worth being defined by the reader/poster? What may be worthless to me may be invaluble to someone else.

Sigh...The answer to the question that you posed to me is already contained in the posts that I made on this subject, and incidentally which I have re-quoted on this thread in order to invalidate Valis' 'Check before you wreck' comment. It is quite clear from them what I view, in my opinion, to be worthless threads.

For example, when you read these posts did you note the posts that I view as worthwhile as opposed to those I do not? There is the answer to your question.

Please read the posts carefully - HS

Full member of http://www.can-online.org.uk a learning and support structure for social entrepreneurs. Much of the work for 5 years or so has been purely voluntary.

Presently leading from the front the design of a social enterprise community initiative in environmental, theatre, arts and natural crafts education. To be honest, I'm exhausted mentally within this field right now, but effort put in now, will pay dividends later and will be well worth the struggle inbetween.

Hilary, put a sock in it, I have no patience for time consuming thread hijackers. This was a good positive thread, but all the way through, you've been arguing a completely beside the point point. Stick a sock in it, do me a ruddy favour!!

When your'e being less cantankerous, I do enjoy your posts, lets keep it that way shall we?

Valis, your profile picture with the earring? Well, I always thought that earring was in your ear. Then I took a closer look. Oh, my God. I think I'm going to have to start another thread!

I volunteer with the National Missing & Exploited Children's Foundation. I also help with outreach functions put on through my new church. Right now we're getting ready for the "Family Olympics" - it's a lot of fun - a 3 day event where kids participate in sports events & fun events (like 3 legged races, balloon throwing contests, pie eating contests, baseball throws, etc). I also volunteered as a clasroom helper for my daughter's preschool and help in the Sunday school once a month.

Definately don't do enough - but I really enjoy what I do now. And it's helping kids - which means a lot to me.

Whoa. You're right. There are two. Is it just that one side that is pierced. Or both sides? Doesn't that hurt?
