    Place those dam tracks already and leave the magazines alone. If this goes on for months they'll be begging you to place magazines

    When I was still there our congregation never sent enough money to cover magazines yet we always got what we ordered.

    The only time the order was reduced is when we decided to do so or when it was done based upon the number of publishers When did this change in the last 3 years??? Lol

    How much did they "suggest" back in the day, of how much a worldly encyclopedia would cost, when deciding how much to donate for the Insight books. (I hear that the drones working on the Insight book line were paid double then for the other books. TIC)

    @berrygerry, yes, I also remember the guilt trip about contributing for WT Lib CD's and how much a retail CD cost, not just music CD's but especially the computer software retail CD's, and how this would give us an idea how much we should be contributing.

    This young elder brother did say that "we aren't getting the full shipment and are running out, in fact we've run out of magazines before the end of each month for the last three months." Which kind of puts the responsibility pretty much on the amount short-shipped, not on the amount ordered.

    It will be interesting to hear what's said at our "sister" congregation.

    @Quarterback.

    Maybe there's an "Apostate!" somewhere who's been stealing large quantities of magazines when nobody's looking!

    Just thought of something. Do you think the "special campaigns" are cost cutting measures? Push a tract for a month and lower the Magazine orders nationwide and save money on printings?

    That math has got to be wrong.

    So did he say the branch will send you exactly the amount of magazines that you pay for based on a .50 cent per magazine rule? So if you send in let us say 100 for world wide work then you will only get 200 total mags?

    when did they institute this new rule

    @Paul.

    The strange thing is he didn't actually say what he seemed to be saying.

    Basically, he said there's a shortage. We know. We all know. The elders are aware of the problem.

    And then, by the way, if you catch my drift and you want to help instead of complain about running out then don't take so many or contribute more.

    The idea that we haven't received the "full order" shipment goes nicely with the May video saying that the WT needs more contributions. This just seems, to me, to be a ploy to get the older folks to contribute even more.

    Am I the only one that thinks it's hilarious that the cong reported placing MORE mags than they even received?? LOL! Busted!
