I am retired. I used to teach Psychology, Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, and Principles of Management. Occasionaly, I also taught Statistics and Business Policy/Strategy. Now, my major hobby is doing research that I should have done when I was teaching. My wife and I like to go to art fairs, music events, a nice dinner out, and go on day trips around the local country side.
What do you do for work and play?

I work at our local Community Action Agency.
Its similar to Social Services. We provide services that help homeless and people facing eviction from their homes by helping them pay bills, rent, security deposit etc. We have various surplus food distributions, food pantries etc. We offer cleaning and personal care services to the elderly. We also offer assistance for home weatherizing like furnace repare or purchase, window replacement, home insulation etc. I work in the office but a few times a month I help with the food distributions. It really doesnt seem like work since we are helping people ya' know?. For the first time in my life, I can honestly say, I love my job.
What do I do for fun?
Occasionally I feel like going out but Im kind of a homebody actually. I try to have fun whatever Im doing.

My husband & I own a business of auto accessories - since opening a store, it needs babysitting....therefore our long weekends (which means 2 days in a row) are rare. Work lots to make up for the stupidity of thinking that "the End was Coming Shortly."
Down time? Garden, read, have 3 yippy dachshunds, and hang out here.

Lessee. To make money, I'm a technical writer and technical illustrator. Gots 25 years experience in it. I like to write documentation for really technical stuff like magnetic resonance imagine systems, shared satellite earth stations, fiber optice telecommunications transmission and switching equipment and such as that. Please! No accounting or database system documentation. That would bore a person to death.
I also write novels, historical fictions and like that. Got one in the oven now in fact.
Fun? Till I fell out of the tree I spent each and every moment I could out in my boat saltwater fishing. I love it. I eat it. I breathe it. I sleep it. And when I 'm not fishing, I'm shrimping. And if not that, I'm going mullet jumping, or oyster gathering, or something having to do with the salt water.
Other than that I love to read. Well, READ doesn't quite get it, I sorta INHALE books. The more the merrier. Right now I've discovered Wilbur Smith who has written 32 books of historical fiction about Africa. I love a man who writes a bunch of books. James Lee Burke wrote lots of good detective stories. Gary Jennings is another good one.
I also like to play chess. And cook. And seduce women, um, not any more that is, not since I married my lovely Cuban dynami...um, beauty. The one with the green eyes and long fingernails and temper whom I love dearly and would never even blink my eyes in the direction of another woman, who I wasn't looking at in the first place, see? Honest. It's like living with a combination of a female Ricky Ricardo and Jack the Ripper.
That's me. Nothing exciting. Just kinda ho-hum.

I don't work. I became a dub around the time I should have been educated and when I became a dub I went pioneering. Lucky for me I married a clever cloggs whose income has been sufficient to keep me in the manner to which I've become accustomed. I live part time in Australia and part time in Hong Kong were clever cloggs works. I divide my time between the two places because my adult kids are still at home and I feel they need emotional support still. (this is the Chinese way - but I'm not Chinese, I just admire their habits). Am trying to down size our house so I can spend more time in Hong Kong.
I fill my days with house & garden stuff and I swim 1.5 kilometres every other day and walk for 45 minutes on the days I don't swim. In Hong Kong we socialise a lot - but in Australia I don't tend to as much. I'm quite content with my lot in life. If I were a Christian I'd say I've been blessed.

FOR EMPLOYMENT: When I first graduated from college I worked in pharmaceuticals as a Purchasing Agent. I quickly became frustrated with the sedentary lifestyle of office work. I went and got my certification in fitness and nutrition and am now a freelance personal trainer and contract out to various gyms from time to time, and also work with my own client base.
If you want to call it a side job I am also a freelance sketch artist. I would call it more a hobby than an actual job though, because I do it in my spare time, and I truly enjoy it. If you would like to view a small portion of my work you can check it out at:

I also love to write, as I am currently working on a novel. I love to play sports, I am especially into football and baseball. I love to cook, particularly Italian or Spanish cuisine. I love to read, my favorite genres are true crime, horror, science-fiction, and history. I also love devoting time to helping others exit the JW's, or to cope with their current circumstance. I define THAT as my charity work.

I work for Graebel Int'l (relocation company) at night.
When I'm not working, I'm sleep. I'm too tired to do much else, esp. with a baby on the way. *yawn*

Fun post!
Work - I am the Director of Sales and Marketing for a non-profit high-technology organization, long story... We have a magazine and I overlook the sales/marketing aspect. It can be stressful, but at times fun when I get to stretch my creative muscle a bit.
Fun - I am not all that exciting, but I enjoy sapending time with my daughter, writing, drawing, playing with my animals (3 cats and a dog,) and my spirituality is actually a great source of refreshment/fun for me, listen to music (I just adore music,) camping, cars, um... what else... oh yes and post here!
Kisses,
Moe

Work--Freelance writer (food, travel, human interest) and newspaper columnist (Get Wired, a column about the internet). I also do web design for small to medium sized businesses.
Play--Travel, cook gourmet meals, canoeing, tubing, dancing, concerts. Making life more interesting by trying new things, been open to new experiences like attending Catholic mass, going to a swingers dance, strip clubs, and poetry slams. I love planning parties (don't forget halloween everyone) and an evening in front of a roaring fire or sitting in a hot tub with a bottle of wine is happiness to me.
