You completely missed my point, and instead go on the defensive, I am trying to get information out of you...not give my own. If you are really looking for the meaning of life, the Witnesses can't give it to you either, so perhaps you should put your efforts elsewhere.

The meaning of life has to found on your own. Start with love... Is it love to kill innocent babies at Armageddon? Is shunning love? Is it love to change dates and policy then lie about it? Is it love to refuse to allow people to not have organ transplants, later change your mind and not even apologiazing? Is hiding pedophilia cases love? Is making women be in subjection to men like dogs love? I think not.

May I suggest you read Crisis of Conscience and In Search of Christain Freedom by Ray Franz to free your mind to think about this matter with a clear conscience that is not beclouded by the JW influence. He still worships Jehovah and Christ.

Please stick around and ask many questions. But be open minded. The fact that you are no longer going to the meetings says something in itself. Why did you stop going? Was it because you saw hypocrisy in the congregations? Was it because you feel you can't live up to the "ideal" standards they set? Was it because the meetings were redundant and boring? Was it the lack of love? Please tell us why you stopped.
I have more questions too: Were you brought up as a JW? Were your parents brought up as JWs or did they convert?
I like to know people's backgrounds so I can relate better to them. You remind me of my husband when he was still doggedly demanding that it is still the "truth" even though we went from library to library and web site to web site trying to find a single shred of evidence that Jerusalem fell in 607.
See, if Jerusalem did not fall in 607, then Jesus did not return in 1914. And if Jesus did not return in 1914, then he didn't choose Russell, et al, as the FDS.
Another important thing to investigate, Lucidentity, is WHAT was Russell teaching at the time Jesus supposedly returned? Did his teachings honor God? Did they honor the Bible? WHAT exactly would set him apart from all other sects in 1914 when Jesus supposedly returned?

I was once in your shoes. I believed with all my heart that the JW's were God's only true religion. And I still think they have some things correct, as far as Biblical accuracy goes. But if they have anything wrong, what makes them any better than any other religion? Take Undecided's advice. You will be shocked at what you learn.

It is true that most men do not develop affection for women unless they have sex with them. If a man does not get sex from his wife, he may begin to feel cold toward her. Comforter is not talking about cases where the wife is sick and unable to perform sex. But when woman just refuses to have relations with her mate for months, how do you expect a man to feel? This do not mean that man should only love woman for sex.
There is nothing wrong with a woman carrying out materal roles. All humans have roles to play in the family. A husband may take pleasure in mowing the grass or fixing things around the house. Big deal!
The Bible says that the abundance of words causes sin. I am glad to see you are wise enought to know this. A wise person does talk less and less. I know. Just ask me.
The magazines did not say 15% of accidents are caused by suicide. Be for real.
Dont you know what the words "It has been said" mean? The Society not saying that one should go see Vatican or vacation there, pinhead.
The other quotes and comments are errors in a similar vein. But should I be surprised? It has also been said that men think but women feel.
