Flower, I am so happy for you. I remember when you first came here, and how down and out you felt. It has been very heart warming to see how much you have grown and over come the baggage from the past. Your words bring tears to my eyes, and it is hard to get this crusty old man to get emotional. Thanks for sharing your progress with us.

: For the first time, I felt I was understood. Someone else knew what it was like to be me. Someone else felt the pain. Someone else...many more..lived in the dark, deep hole that I called home.

So true. I had a similar epiphany about twenty five years after I left the WT. I had long discarded the religion as a hoax, but started reading other ex-JW stories on the Internet. I swear I could have written most of them myself based upon my own experiences. It was weird.

So I decided to speak out, and speak out I did!

What an Amazing post!!!

Six months ago, on December 25th 2001 I discovered the existance of an XJW community and that I was not alone in this universe.

Me too, in December!!

I began to experience life for the first time. I had been alive for 29 and a half years then but never experienced the love, joy or peace that life has to offer.

Me toooo!

Six months ago today, I truly left the JW cult. Its been a rocky up and down journey I cant lie but thanks to this community and others I have tasted life for the first time and it is good.

Meeee toooooo!

Didn't realize we had a similar story flower, no wonder I automatically felt a bond of friendship with you.[ ;) ]
