I'm not generally of the 'look at the bright side' crowd.
But, there is something that has come out of the last few months that's been good for you - you and SYN seem very happy. Frustrated, but if you really feel for each other what you seem to show...well....can't see how any amount of bad can compare to finding someone you can truly love who truly loves you.

Sorry that your losing your job. However, it may help with accomplishing your goal of becoming a nurse. Nursing can be a good field for mothers since there are many different shifts to work and you will never be out of work again.
Amanda, don't worry things will work out for you and your daughter. It takes time to recover from so much lose.
BTW... If you can go for the RN license rather than LPN because you will have many more opportunities. Also, RN's make an average of $6-10 an hour more than LPN's. Then, the RN license is more often recognized in other states and countries ... ahem

Amanda, I too am really sorry to hear about this. Been there a time or two myself. But, hang in there, it does get better. I wish had some words to make it all better, but there just aren't any. Know that you have lots of friends here.
