The Bible: It does'nt make sense

What you suggest here is a common misconception, I believe. In other words, conventional thought has it that God and all the angels share the same abode or Heaven. Of course nothing could be more FICTIONAL, I believe! Personally, I am fully convinced that there is only ONE angel that 'lives in the very presence of God'. THAT angel being Michael (Jesus). Yes, Jehovah God resides in a "Heaven" of his own, a place sufficiently large enough to accommodate HIMSELF -- which is separate and distinct from the spiritual realm or "Heaven" in which the angels in general live. The particular Heaven (abode) in which the huge complement of angels reside is simply not big enough to 'house' the God of the Universe. I really believe this is what Solomon understood and alluded to at 1 Kings 8:27 (compare 2 Chronicles 2:6 and 6:18).

Dealing with this very subject, here's a couple of links to pages on my personal site which you and other reader's of this forum may find worthy of your time.

http://4heavens.homestead.com/4HeavensExplained.html (Here you will find where I once got started with the explanation of my understandings regarding this matter, but have yet to conclude with it. One day yet I do plan to finish it, but maybe its sufficient enough *as is* for others to grasp the idea.)

Actually, SS, I learned those particular things due in part to a determination to understand ... while having isolated myself in my study for a very lengthy time. Did I have some help? I believe so, but not from any "stinky weed" that you refer to LOL.

When i was a jw, i was into the books, and understanding. But how can you really know god from a thousands yr old book. You feel you have some help coming your way. That's true, of course. There are ways to see god for yourself. There's a BIG difference from book learning, to putting on wings and flying.

If I could only remember which boxes hold my bible I could quote that scripture that tells of the man who cuts down a tree, creates a house from some of the wood, makes a little fire with which to warm himself and then with the rest carves out an idol from same piece of wood and prostrating before it, says 'oh my god, deliver me!" I would love to append that scripture to say 'and with still another piece of that wood, he fashions a little book called the bible and tells it 'show me the way to god and everlasting life.

Everlasting life is supposed to be a free, undeserved gift and yet if humans ever somehow got the clues within the bible right why shouldn't we feel as we'd earned it outright? Where is the gift?
How can god start with quality stock, which fails, then demand the same standards from the slipshod crap that's left? What kind of justice or love is that?

Hey Yardirt. Actually, SS, I learned those particular things due in part to a determination to understand ... while having isolated myself in my study for a very lengthy time.

Is that how God had the bible written for us? It is written so that a person has to dig that deep?

What of those who are illiterate, have NO bible? What about those who know nothing other than ALLAH, BUDDAH? What about those who have no bible dictionaries, concordances, commentaries, Lexicons, etc? How will these ones learn the Bible? Will God judge all these unworthy because.......they haven't come to know him?

I have BEEN a dub......for 40 years, served as an elder, studied my butt off......and still, the bible in many things, makes no sense. Why would God write a book that is left open to countless of interpretations........why not make it simple for ALL to understand?

( don't forget to answer two paragraph's above)
