It would be upsetting for a marriage partner to leave after 20 years no matter why or with whom. It would be sad, probably for her, too. No one puts in that much time without regrets, unless they are literally in jail. WTBTS notwithstanding, she was not just a JW, but a wife and mom. It wasn't an easy choice.I was thinking the same thing JWD. What if after some time she realizes she is not gay, then what? What if she did it to hurt the man because he was always busy doing elder stuff? Then what? I really have no answers I just think we live in a F****** crazy world. -

We have met several married couples where the wife is bi- or at least bi-curious and the hubby has found it intriguing and is quite comfortable with the wife exploring her bi side. It has not seemed to have caused their marriage or families to break apart.Of course, such a concept would be totally foreign to a JDub. (At least to an older JDub. Not sure about some of these younger couples. They can be pretty liberal.)

I am friends with a couple that was married for 30 years before the husband came out. I always felt he was gay as we all grew up together but he never gave into his feelings due to the religion. Once he finally came out, he said that he had known all his life that he was gay. He is now happy living as a gay man and his ex is remarried to someone else. They remain best friends with each other and none are in the religion any longer.
