I was not the one that assumed in this post. I made this post so that people could understand why the church is having trouble. But no one wants to watch them they want to be watching the Watchtower. Can you look at one side and not the other to find clearity?

We are well aware of the pedophilia troubles of the Catholic Church. We don't deny them, hide them, approve of them and we don't excuse them. Now, are you willing to admit that the same problems exist in Jws? Any clarity yet?

I'm afraid Bleep that *assuming* is exactly what you have done in your original posting.

You have *assumed* that paedophilia is more of a problem in the Roman Catholic than in the WTBTS.

You have *assumed* that people who take a vow of celibacy or who do not marry are more likely to be/become paedophiles than those who don't.

You have *assumed* that people here are not concerned about paedophilia in the Roman Catholic Church or wherever else it occurs - schools, youth group, children's playcentre etc.

Rest assured that many of us understand that the Roman Catholic Church has serious problems and that certain individuals in authority have tried to *cover up* the problems. In so doing, they have dug a far bigger hole for themselves than would have existed had they come clean, *exposed and dealt with the problem* a long time ago, rather than waiting to be forced into doing something.

But it appears that the WTBTS has similar problems. There are cases of paedophilia within the organisation which have been handled at the direction of Headquarters - and have therefore been mis-handled. The WTBTS also has serious problems and certain individuals in authority have tried to *cover up* the problems. In so doing, they also have dug a far bigger hole for themselves than would have existed had they come clean, *exposed and dealt with the problem* a long time ago, rather than waiting to be forced into doing something.

Can you see any similarities between the 2 groups now?

You are absolutely right.

The Catholic church is having it's guts ripped out over pedophilia in it's ranks. It is happening right now, and it is about time. This we can agree upon.

The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society also stands ready to be gutted due to policies that harbour pedophiles. This is also overdue and who gives a rat's ass if you are dismayed?

Pedophiles will go where they feel safe, and JW policy is an open invitation.

I know that it is hard for you to always see yourself as second to the Catholic church, (actually you are ninth or tenth) but in this matter, being busted for pedophilia, you are right up there with the guys with the big hats. Enjoy the limelight!

Catholics can call SNAP who understands the special needs of those molested by Catholic priests or others in their organization.

JWs (ex-JWs) can call Silentlambs who understand the special needs of those molested by JWs and spiritually abused by the elders who should have helped them.

JWs claim to be the only true religion. Just like God held the Israelites more accountable than the Gentile nations around them when they started roasting their children to same false gods the Gentiles did, so God holds the JWs more accountable. Bleep have you been paying attention during the study of the Isaiah book or have you been daydreaming?
