Once I asked a ministerial servant:
"WHY DON'T WITNESSES CELBRATE THANKSGIVING?"
He said, "BECAUSE IT IS A NATIONALISTIC HOLIDAY"
I replied, "BUT WHEN THE PILGRIMS AND INDIANS CELEBRATED THE FIRST
THANKSGIVING, THE US WASN'T EVEN A COUNTRY."
Then he just stared at me speechless.

For me, it was hearing how the JWs were so kind and loving. Sure, until you got baptized. What love they have is reserved for their cliques and super conditional.
Another outrageous statement I heard was to be told how "stupid" I was for being a veteran.
Other than that, although I didn't exactly hear it, was so many older sisters trying to match me up with single sisters. After a short while, my libido got the better of me and I succumbed to one. If I should be called stupid, it was for that!

I had gathered information on lying from the watchtower , printed up 3 copies for the 3 elders I asked to speak to. As I presented the papers to them, one elder looked at me and said this was a waste of time. He said I could research all I wanted to in the watchtowers, they are writtten for the congregation to read but the elders don't go by what is writted in them. They have their own set of books to go by. And that was the end of the meeting.
