Does anyone know the answer to the question I posed to You Know? One Witness who came here about a year ago said this, I was taught this many years ago, but I don't know if it is in print, and if so, how long ago it was last stated.

They teach that there have been a few anointed ones sprinkled around down through the ages. I don't think they necessary teach that there has never beeen a time without any though. There is simply no way of knowing. Groups like the Waldenses that sprang up seemed for a time to posses the same spirit as the 1st century Christians, but they eventually were reabsorbed back into the mainstream.
