>>What's a muscian
Evidence of a dork who can't spell!! Oopth! Thorry...
COMF:
Too bad ya live so far away...you come from ZZ Top country!!!! La Grange rules..
Well, not doing drums any longer. Mainly vocals and guitar now, leaning mostly towards vocals and lyrics. Have been mostly collaborating alot with other muscians I meet on the net. I've done projects with guys from California, New Mexico, Netherlands, Germany, North Carolina and more...the net has been a great source of great people to record with long distance. I have remaining stuff on the net scattered about...wait...finding a link...

This was a tune I did with two guys from NM. Never met them, everything was done over the net. They recorded their parts in NM, sent me the file, I wrote and recorded my parts, done. It's a very aggressive rock number based around a Native American named Leonard Pelltier who is currently in prison...Hopefully this link will work. The first arrow from the left is Lo-speed for dial up connections, the next arrow is for Hi-speed for cable DSL and the down arrow is for downloading the file to yer 'puter. Sometimes the quailty of the streaming is piss poor, so DL'ing might be a better option if the streaming bites. :-O
I've got more scattered around the net, I'll find the links and post if your interested. I have other stuff not as errr intense shall we say. I have some old pics around too...I think. Let me see if I can dig them up...Errrr....need to check my scanner make sure it's working...
Farkel:
Checked out the linked thread...classical stuff eh? Look forward to hearing it...
What are you getting/(got?) for recording software? I guess you are going to be recording an acoustic piano...you got microphones?? Are you planning to use a mixer? Interested in your game plan...

Hey, Doug, Morello's on my list of influences on musician.com. Still, here's the best drum solo I've ever heard. Forget the special effects, just listen to the drumming. I've been playing drums for 36 years, and when I listen to this I can't begin to imagine what Billy Cobham is doing with his hands. Note, too, the absence of the double bass which seems to be a requirement nowadays before a drummer can play a roll.

Pome, what parts are you playing on Crazy Horse?

I used to play bass and then when I left my ex and the dubs and moved into an apartment, went back to school and started working 40 miles from home, I didn't have the time to do it during hours my neighbors considered appropriate. Now that I'm in a house, I traded in my old Washburn P-Bass copy that I was never a big fan of and got a Schecter Stiletto 4-string. Not the top of the line, but I like the sound, the neck was thinner (thus better accomodating my Lisa Simpson fingers), it's lighter, and the price was right. Plus, it is black. :D I'm getting back into playing slowly but surely. :)

Sorry...Didn't see yer inquiry at the bottom of yer post...All I did on that song was the lyrics, melody and vocal performance.
So the line up was Scott - guitars/bass, Mike - drums (Both from New Mexico), and vocals - me.
Scott had that instrumental tune kickin around for a while. We bumped into each other on a BB, scanned each others talents and agreed to do something...It was fun and we both think it came out pretty decent.
Hey arachnia...I made my own bass. It's a fretless thingy with a maple neck and a walnut body.
Here it is:
It's sitting on the chair I'm sitting in now!!! Kindy funky lookin eh??

I took lessons on flute for several years and got moderately good at it. Unfortunately, life lately has been so hectic that my practice time went south, so I'm almost back to Square One. I'm sure that I'll be able to get back into it fairly quickly if I ever get the time to work on it.
And hey, haven't we crossed paths elswhere?? ;)
Well, Pom....of course we have.....the apostate team on Beliefnet. Adam is SUCH fun, isn't he?
