I am a late bloomer I guess. While I have played acoustic for years I just got my first electric guitar a few months ago. (Fender strat) I have some electronic drum pads too and I record on a little digital recorder. My favorite toy though is a digital voice harmonizer. I play my own fusion of gospel and punk. / You Know
YK, you should post more on musical subjects. I know I'd enjoy more hearing from you about music than about theology.
But I also have the impression from some remarks you made a long time ago (don't remember where) that you are a Dylan fan. If so, you can't be all bad.
Added through editing: WAIT A MINUTE!! It just struck me after I posted this...YK plays GOSPEL? Isn't that evil Babylonish music? Aren't you afraid you'll be attacked by demons? Couldn't you be disfellowshipped for apostasy?

Anyway, so as not to miss the thread topic completely: I play a bit of guitar, though mostly it involves strumming chords on an acoustic 12-string and singing. I don't do anything fancy on the guitar, though people tell me I have a good voice. I'm particularly partial to 60's and 70's folk and rock, though even these days I occasionally pick up a new song (generally new Dylan, but not always).
When I was a teenager, back in the 60's, I played the accordion. Eventually, I realized that this was not a good way to impress girls, and switched to guitar.

So, no one has their talents immortalized by the lovely medium of recording???
I can't believe it. With the PC being a swell recording tool...
Anyone? Anyone at all??

I can play the guitar like a mother f*cking riot. I do vocals, write a bit and play a mean steelstring. I have recorded a bit using midi backup with digital audio vocals and guitar. Currently in mp3 or wave file format.

Hey again Pomegranate,
I recorded some stuff on my computer once or twice or thrice...long ago, on a Mac IIse, with demo software that could not save your work. So I mixed cello and bass tracks for Led Zep's Kashmir and then recorded the final onto a tape recorder. It was quite noisy, obviously. It still sounded really cool at the time, considering the low-tech approach. I lost the tape somewhere.
I will have to bring my skills to the modern recording realm sometime soon.
I liked your recording a lot, by the way. Thanks for sharing,

cell...it really is worth your while to get back into using the pc as a recording medium. It really
is quite amazing what can be done now. If your interested, I have a couple of others song that
are uploaded. It was a project I did with a guy from North Carloina. It's a couple of tunes worth,
one being kindy folk/rock like and the other kind of Floyd 'ish sounding.
The project was called Trippy Headphone Cowboys.Anyway they are free for the taking here:
Enjoy!!
