    Hmmm. Interesting Robdar. Very interesting....

Hey heres a story, what do you reckon about this one?

Years ago, when my first wife left me I was living in our wierd little house that we had just bought. Never a happy house that one. Anyway, one night I had this bloody awful vivid dream. I was laid in the bed and I could hear my mother calling from outside among the trees in the back garden , I got up and called to her from the back door and gradually she came out from among the bushes and... well....she was DEAD. I could see that looking at her.

This woke me up. It was about 3am and I was always a bit spooked being by myself, very edgy about demons and stuff. So I got up and switched on the TV to distract myself from thoughts of demons. The television came on and it was a film. a 60s spoof (Martin Milner was in it, I recall) and he was Adam, and there was some guy in an apple tree playing Satan. Totally FREAKED me out! I quickly changed the channel...I swear...on the other channel was an advert, advertising tours of the "Haunted" Melbourne jail. I went completely paranoid and switched off the TV and switched the radio on instead. On the radio a song was playing called "talking to an angel" (that english band, Blonde woman fronts them) I totally spun out and spent the rest of the night with my skin crawling , sensing demons entering my air space and rushing into corners of rooms challenging Demons that I thought were lurking there to "go ahead, attack me!"

Strange days..... Course, I dont have to do stuff like that anymore (fortunately)

My dreams almost always are realized later. Sometimes days and sometimes even a couple of years. They use to freak me out quite a bit until I started seeing a theropist that specializes in such things.

The one that sticks out the most right now (probably cuz of your armegeddon thread) was a reocurring dream I had for more then a year. Thought I was dreaming about armegeddon. It was extreemely vivid and detailed. Right down to the lamp posts and street signs and the tanks patrolling the streets. Very vivid and very real. The buildings burning. In my dream the sky was always red over the city skyline.

Then finally everything I had seen in my dream I was seeing exactly in order in my neighborhood and on the news when the riots broke out after the rodney king trial.

I have a lot of dreams like that.

One of the strangest dreams I have is ...the weather report. No kidding. It sounds nutty but I will go by my dream before I will go by the actual weather report. I even get an occasional call from a friend or family member asking if I have a clue what the weather will be like for a particular event.

No Armageddon dreams - not even when I was a dub.

Plenty of dreams where I am in a house talking to ppl - sometimes it's the house where I grew up, the house I was thrown out of, a house where friends live/have lived, or a completely imaginary place.

I often have dreams that seem so real I think I'm living another life in my dreams. I might dream about people that I know, or else I will dream about ppl/places/events that are not in my waking life, but I seem to know the history of them in my dream, as if they were real.

Very rarely I have had "prophecy" type dreams, where I have dreamt about something, and what I dreamt about came true. But those don't happen very often.

    Pris - PAST LIVES!!!

Hey a while back, I was attending a channelling group and while I was there the "channel" recieved a message from her alien contact full of details about my most recent past life. Strangely Names and places crept up in the message that had relevance to me, Like My grandmothers name, and a name connected with our avtual family history. Wierd huh? Coincidence? clever research on the part of a manipulative channel?

I cannot believe I almost passed over this thread. Hello RF!

My dreams are always very vivid and real to me, only yesterday I thought I might start recording them, write it down sort of thing. I have some reoccurring dreams, they are usually the snake dreams where I am being pursued by a poisonous snake. Often I am bitten or there is a threat that one of my children will be bitten, and every time I am bitten I feel the teeth sink into my flesh, it is usually on my wrist that I am bitten. Preceeding the bite is fear, then comes the bite, followed by a feeling of 'what's gonna happen now'...usually nothing happens.

The other one I have I call the house dreams. I am in a house with so many different rooms, cupboards, hidden compartments etc....usually its an older house with wooden floor boards, a victorian type of house. The main emotion is joyful, and curiosity - I am usually a child in these dreams and I feel no sense of threat in the house. Each time the house is different, sometimes I see the house from above it, and I'm looking down like an arial view, sometimes I'm just inside it where it becomes a maze to be explored.

The other reoccurring dreams I have are disturbing and involve a collision in the air, I am usually on the ground. I always wake up disturbed from these dreams.

I also have a lot of de ja vu dreams, they are weird.

The rest of my dreams I can't really share

Beck . The house dream has been mentioned in this thread already, perhaps it is a favourite among women and (apparently) the interpretation refers to exploring your own hidden self. Well, its possible.

Hmmm, I notice you arent far from making Jedi....Id better check and make sure our preparations are fully complete and everything in readiness. (We are not at home to mister cockup)

    Refiners Fire :

I noticed patterns to certain dreams, especially the more disturbing ones and before I went to sleep I would think about the pattern or image of the dream, that would likely occur at some stage.

For instance - being trapped in a building and being hunted by dogs. I would think of the dogs. When I entered the dream state, I would be partially aware of the dream imagery from my semi-conscious mind and then gain a little control. I need a gun, find a gun, there is a gun on a crate etc. Then I'd have the gun and could fight back. It seemed to work via triggers, because I had imagined the dream before sleeping, the dream would be more likely to occur that night and therefore because I had created the dream, I had more control. Thats all I can say to explain this.

I think it works by being able to detach oneself partially from the dream scenario and take an over view.

I used to concentrate before I slept on images and then low and behold, quite often during the night I would enter a dream and those images would appear. This obviously worked with sexual imagery, violent imagery or mundane imagery.

Thats all - must fly ......

    Ahhh Dizz.

That is MOST interesting. It sounds like you practised something akin to Neuro linguistics as espoused by Bandler and Grinder. Anthony Robbins stuff. I tried some of that to "reprogramme" myself regarding certain behaviours, it worked in some ways, though I have a difficulty with continuing things on. I lack practise and discipline. Of course, (as those guys say) the state immediately before sleep when you are half gone is a hypnotic state and you are very suggestible. Problem is, I always fall asleep. Ive thought about generating some tapes to listen to while Im in that dream state, just havent got around to it.

    Thanks for replying.

I think I exist in a hypnotic state most of the day anyway

    Am I asleep - am I awake ?

i have a recurring dream like this one too. huge old house with many rooms, compartments etc. except mine isn't joyful. i always feel a sense of dread as i walk through the house as if it's haunted or something. it's not a good feeling at all. it's funny but i don't believe in demons anymore but in this particular dream i feel as if an evil spirit is hiding behind a mirror or in a giant closet full of clothes. the clothes are all unusual pieces like East Indian or something, all different colors and with tiny mirros on them. anyway in these dreams i feel the spirit follwong me and i say "jehovah" to make it go away. and i don't even believe that anymore! it just shows you how deeply embedded this all is in your (editorial you) psyche.
