DakatoRed: Although not what I would call a scrapper and not one to go looking for trouble, I don't run away if it finds me, either. I have no problem putting someone I care for behind me when faced with danger. I've even been known to get involved when total strangers are in need of help.
I don't try to impress people, just try to be who I am.
Those qualities come through and make you attractive-and masculine!
SYN: As a very famous author who's name has slipped my memory once said, "You can judge the worth of a man by the countenance of his wife's face".
A truly masculine man knows how to treat a lady, and a truly feminine woman knows how to treat a man. That's on the mental level. On the physical level, tastes vary
You last sentence says much more than the first! The first one sounds like something the GB would write.
D8TA: What's this "muscle definition"=masculinity?
edited to add: I had a paragraph I need to reconstruct here the system ate my words! :
My husband is a big guy....he was a college football player and can still bench press 425 lb. He is masculine because he is a great guy. He is charming, thoughtful, sweet, nice, kind and every other word that is positive I can think of. I think he is masculine. He has hair on his chest and used to have a beard. I let him go with or without a beard or 2 day stubble. I find him masculine.
The point, as I am sure 4skins missed, is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we hold woman to a much higher standard of physical beauty.
Roybatty: .....appealing seeing a man who has a white collar job (I work as an engineering manager) yet can also with their hands (hey, get your mind out of the gutter, THAT'S NOT WHAT SHE MEANT). For example, when there is a problem in the machine shop I'll go there, roll up my sleeves, tuck in my tie and work with the machinists. I guess seeing a dork in dirty dress clothes has it's appeal. Hmph! I never had a clue. Does working out everyday and coaching football count as being "masculine"?
Kinda hard to define masculinity, isn't it? Just as it is femininity.
