Somehow, I find that comment to be a cheap shot.
Jan Groenveld is Australia's answer to Randy Watters or Kent Steinhaug. If they sent out appeals for money, so that their website wouldn't close down, I know they would receive thousands of dollars.
Kent is not American, so why would you think he would get more help than Jan?

Mmmm. I never said Kent would get more money because he was American, TR.
But I know Kent would get more money than Jan. Not just going by her email in Randy's post above, but I reckon it is pretty much a certainty.
ps - I'm sorry that it seems like a cheap shot, my reference to Americans, but I was referring to the fact that her detractors are generally those who have no need for her support, so they find it easy to make fun of her. Re-reading this thread I also saw that another poster who harped on the email issue is an Australian, so no hard feelings, ok?

Prisca, darling, it's been such a strange misunderstanding - I was only helping Farkel torque the bolts on his carburetor - there wasn't much cleearance, so we had to work closely - we needed all that grease on the Mountie uniform to keep the threads packed, and the lederhosen was for SAFETY!
Forgive us, and let's get back to the way it was - the way it OUGHT to be!

What the hell is she paying so much for hosting ???
I pay less than that much BUT I do get all the wizz-bang dynamic hosting stuff, lots of disk space, tons of bandwidth etc ... which is used on this site.
Looking at JanG's site it appears to me to be completely static, html based and the visitor counter does not indicate an inordinate number of visitors (ie. masses of bandwidth used).
If I were here I would save paying any more money on that and simply move the hosting somewhere else. There are many places which let you host things for very little cost nowadays.
Failing that, look at how you are using the technology JanG as you may not be using it efficiently which is costing you money.
