From what I have just read, it seems to me for someone who doesn't need the book, you sure just needed the book to make your point. Whatever that point is...

Without the book, I believe you would be pointless.

If what you say is true, make your point without the book and reveal something new from God for us.

    AGuest, Hope you keep posting

why did he allow it to be written and rewritten over and over again?

Why did he allow his creation to be decieved? Why not just scock satan in the eye in the first place and avoid this mess?

Maybe we spend way too much time over thinking?

If what you say is true, make your point without the book and reveal something new from God for us.

All due respect pom but dang can you see any parrallel in your comment to whats has already been done over and over and written about in many bibles already?

    Think before you leap.Yikes man.

    Dearest Pom... peace to you!

Please know that "as someone who doesn't need the book," it would be MOST unkind and unloving of me for those that DO still need it, to ask them to put faith in what they cannot as of yet, yes? Love... does not look out for its own interest, Pom. There are those who can eat meat... and those who still need milk. And there are those in between, who WANT to walk by faith... but aren't quite sure how, just yet, and may still need a bit of assistance. They were the newly faithful, ones who WANTED to believe. The Bible called them "noble-minded". At some point, however, they won't need the law written on stone or in ink. But there will be those after them who still will. And my message to them will be the same: what does the BIBLE itself actually say?

    Again, I bid you peace.

Plum... peace to you as well... actually, Satan kinda did get 'socked'. It's just been... ummm... 'deferred' is all. And honey, I don't know if you have children, but as a parent, I can tell you that what I WANT for my children... and what THEY want and do... is not always the same thing. My Father TOLD Adam and Eve what would happened; He could have rightfully said nothing ("Hey, whatever happens, it's their problem; what am I, God?"). Rather, He TRIED to give them information that would help them: "Do NOT eat from that particularly tree 'cause if you DO... you will die." How much more information than that did they need?

I mean, if I tell my kids "don't smoke crack cause you can get hooked and lose everything, even, possibly your life, " and some "babysitter" (whose references I didn't need to check because I KNEW this person, I thought, from the time THEY were a kid and had them in my home all the time)... comes along and tells them "Ahhh, your mom don't know "jack"; she just knows that if you smoke it, you'll be as "grown" as HER and you won't need HER anymore and she wants you to be dependent on HER so's she can tell you what to do and run your life forever... (yeah, right!) ... so whyn't cha' go 'head and have a 'toke', you'll be cool"... and they listen to the sitter instead of me... and commence to SMOKE, get hooked, lose everything and maybe even end up in jail, or worse, dead... am I to blame? Truly?!

Well... I guess we gotta blame SOMEONE, yes? And blaming Adam and Eve won't do, cause if THEY were wrong, then when WE blow it, maybe WE'RE wrong... and, of course, WE don't want to BE wrong... so that it's better to blame God with what they did and what happened to them as a result... so that way we can blame Him for what WE do and what happens to US as a result...

Yes. Of course. And we think mankind has progressed. Was it not Adam who was recorded to have said, "The woman YOU gave me? SHE gave it to me..." Rather than say, "Yeah, I did what you told me not to do," Adam, the weasel, blamed God... AND Eve! (A pattern many men tend to follow these days!) And Eve... blamed the serpent (a pattern many women tend to follow these days!). Can anyone say 'take responsibility and be accountable for one's own actions'? Yes. David did. And as a result... RECEIVED A PARDON. Praise JAH.

He is merciful, Plum. Just not STUPID. If one doesn't have the 'cahones' to admit one's error... as was the case with Adam and Eve... and will blame anyone else... even God... can one even ask for... let alone BE pardoned?

Things that make you go... hmmmmm...

Peace to you, dear one, and PLEASE don't misunderstand my 'tone': the caps are only for emphasis, is all...

Your servant and a slave of Christ,

    SJ

I appreciate your respect, but no I don't. There's a load of stuff in the book that is still very much unknown. Till the unkown is completely known, then the book is still to be used as the only Word.

Aguest, if you've got "meat." Whip it out. I will test your spirit inspired utterance like the book has told folks to do.

Till the unkown is completely known,

Sorry to have to be the one to break it to you but if your going to spend your life waiting for signs to pop out of a book and prove its self to YOU then your wasting your life away for nothing.

You seem to read Bibles like most people read cook books.

    Aguest,

I just tried to send you an e-mail and it was rejected "by recipient." How callous of you!

    Write me back, ok?

May I ask how would you know that I am wasting my life away? Do you have an inside line on my life and what I've seen? Also, I would never say to anybody what they believe is wasting their time, because who am I to say? I'm a noone and a nobody. So I ask of you, WHO ARE YOU to judge my life?

You seem to read Bibles like most people read cook books.

Even if I did, why is that getting you bothered how it seems? Maybe that's exactly the way the book is supposed to be read. Also, I should be able to read a book any way I wish without anyones criticism shouldn't I?

I would think that is my freedom, you?

I didn't say you WERE wasting you life away. Your posts just seem to be very angry and hostile when the subject is about Bible prophecy or anything at all to do with the Bible or God.

You aren't reading carefully enough before you fly off the handle. It happens. We all do it from time to time.

Maybe this subject is one better left alone for a while.

There is no animosity or anger in any of my posts, or in my demeanor behind the keyboard.

    Anger is unfruitful.
