If rich, what would you do?

If you had so much money that you didn't have to work, how would you spend your time? I will be back later to see what you have to say. I am going to bed, having been up after my bed time. Later, I will tell you how I answered that question for myself.

I'd travel to Ohio where I have some friends and take them out to eat. Then to the nearest Lexus dealer and buy them a new car. Then arrange a trip with them to some South Seas Island where we could enjoy a few island drinks and lay around the pool.

The balance I would send to NY as a contribution to the work! Wait a minute, there is nothing left, I spent it all! Oh well, maybe next time.

Why if I had heaps and heaps of cash Id buy myself a choice piece of land with its own stream running thru it, build a whole heap of designer houses of mud brick with lots of glass, studios, etc and Id invite everyone I like to come live there and set up a "kingdom of sensibility".

Activities would include writing, painting all day, and of course thered be a huge studio computer room where we would sit posting to JW com for hours at a time, because a whole heap of people from here would be invited to the endless party! Naturally! (Yes Prisca, youre one of them).

I'd do the following:

- put money in trust for my children
- make sure my mom is taken care of
- buy a home for my cousin who is being abused by her husband - anonymously make life better for a few 'working poor' families (include second hand vehicles, clothes, bills paid, medical expenses and education for the parent)
- build or purchase a large home with land for homeless kids with resourses
- buy a hobby farm for myself with room for me and my pets to roam
- buy a second hand vehicle for each of my girls and I
- return to school for education or psychology degrees to help kids
- travel to apostfests to meet all my family here
- open a shelter for alcoholics and drug addicts to have a safe place, be fed, sleep, clean and be warm
- donate to all the food banks in the area so that they are overwelmed instead of understocked on a regular basis
- organize transportation for volunteers to visit the elderly
- help Simon and Ang with this site
- help shunned father
- help whoever I could with dental and medical bills
- i'd work in my chosen field and continue to anonymously help those that the system is trying to keep down (welfare/social assistance/single parents)

Those are some of the things I would do.

There are some things that money can't buy. And those are the things I want.

But, should I be so very rich...I'd go visit some friends across the world. Not worry about how I am going to pay my next tuition. Buy the family house so that it would not have to be sold. And buy some new colthes and shoes. Just a few things that I would do.

I'd buy a huge house for myself, somewhere in the country but not too far out to feel isolated. It would have a dozen bedrooms, enough to house all my visitors who would be welcome to come and visit anytime. I would have servants to look after the house, my guests and me.

I would travel the world, spending enough time at each location to savour the atmosphere and culture of each place.

I would have the time and money to listen to orchestras, operas and the various different types of theatre.

I would be able to volunteer time and money to various charities that deserved my support.

And I would make sure that my family was well-supported, so they didn't have to worry about money again.

HI Larc: Before the end of May, I had all kinds of ambitions ... and they depended on how much money ... but, since the big heart thing ... I would do a few things, and mostly nothing ... and when I die my kids can divide it all up. If I still had my ambitions ... well ... there are so many things to do, my problem would not be money, but time ... not enough time ... I guess I would prefer to have more time than money.

RICH?? I do not know the meaning of rich and heaps of cash lining my pocket...MY oh my a never ending supply of it..I think 4 starts LISA MAMIE and me would get a brand new gas guzzling MOBILE HOME and hire a driver/handy Man -- DAN HALL of Reveal Ministries (He deserves it) and travel the USA..BUy some land in the moutains and some on the beach and move around about and get into painting as a money making hobby and sell my paintings for a hefty amount of money..Also get into writing and write a book about what it is like to be ME and R I C H with a never ending supply of lots and lots of money to where LISA/LINDA and Mamie kitty would never have to worry about $$$ ever again...queenie.
