Wow Mimilly you are a true humanitarian. Such good causes. I know I would help out the people I love first and formost. And then I would help those who are suffering from disabilities and illinesses who have no one to turn to for help. There are to many lonely people in the world. Especially seniors.

I would buy my wonderful husband and myself a beautiful yet simple home in the forest with water and animals and horses, cats and dogs. And a reliable truck. And it would have to have a work shop with all the tools my sweetie needs to do all the tinkering he would love to do. And then we would fill it with the friends we love every weekend and have bon fires and good food and wine and of course lots and lots of MOLSON CANADIAN LAGER BEER.

I think this thread and the examples in it where we are all talking about what we would do with a bunch of money, is a perfect example of how the Society and those in it don't know what they are talking about. Those who live the Society are considered apostates, and thus the worst of the worst out there in the world. But look how many, )though we must admit we would all like nice things ourselves,) look how many people talked about helping others. Now we aren't so bad afterall are we??

What is exciting is that now that we are out from under the rule of the Watchtower, it frees us from time and guilt to pursue the things that mean the most to us. If we want to go out and make a bunch of money, lets go for it!!

Remember, some of the most Godliest poeple in the bible were also the wealthiest. Nothing wrong with money.

I have been blessed in my ability to earn money in my life... unfortunately that blessing has equally been a curse in relationships-

I have learned that richness and wealth are a state of mind. Recently my best friend has had to face his on mortality. Laying at Vanderbilt hospital with failing kidneys (he has survived) he looked at me and shared how all of a sudden all his money and material possesions were totally meaningless. This from a man who has spent his entire life accumilating money and things. Since that expereince he has become a lot better friend. At 56 he finally settled down and married a wonderful woman- who parks her old beat up car next to his Rolls and new Caddie. She is totally oposite of what my friend had been about in his life.

My lesson about richness and happiness- it is the small things that we do that mean the most. Now the simple phone call from my friend is a wonderful blessing to me. Nothing his money could buy could make me happier than knowing that he is alive and a better person in spite of his wealth.

I have seen some people reach and and touch lives in profound ways with very kind, loving words on this forum. Some so caring that tears would form in the eyes of this old grey haired man. Money or no money that is what I want to learn to de better-

    If I was rich:

I'd start a scholarship fund for Witness kids who want to go to college
    without parental support.

I'd start a medical research foundation for Unprofitable Cures.
We'd have cancer cured in ten years.

I'd fund a university connected International School for Nation Building
to examine and teach how to create prosperous social democracies out of
primitive nations. Pragmatism welcome, political ideologies need not apply.
We'd get more funding in the name of Kissinger, Lee Kuan Yew and Ataturk.

I'd fund every interesting scientific heretic I could find - guys like
Gold, Arp, Sheldrake, and Cold Fusion people. I'd do so knowing that they
may be entirely wrong - but that some good discoveries are made by bold
    mistaken people anyway.

I'd fund an evening news show called News for Intelligent People that
would be unabashedly elitist - but compassionate. It would cover
all the important news that never gets reported - like antiaging,
    scientific breakthroughs, and libertarian ideas.

    and that's for a start!

I'd start a CULT. Then I would get even richer! I'd hire a few Governing Body members as consultants to work under me as well, so I could boss 'em around & stuff!

Seriously, there is only one thing I want now that only money can give me, and that is to visit MrMoe in Florida!

    I really like that idea!

Me? My lifestyle would not change other than the bills would be paid off. Do a little traveling with the family. Definately attend more apostafests! And take eyegirl out to dinner.....let her pick whatever she wanted off the menu! LOL
