Snoozy, The cancer had spread to his glandular system. I may not remember the stages right.

Hi again Golden Girl,

You mentioned that hubby has Stage 4. This is what I remember from when I was getting all the info I could. By the way mine was Stage 3 colorectal cancer.

Stage 1: the cancerous cells are confined to the polyp or original site

Stage 2: the cancer has spread to surrounding tissue

Stage 3: the cancer has entered the lymph system

Stage 4: the cancer has metasized (set up other sites) and there's more than one tumor present.

But your doctor will explain it far better than us here. Plus whatever treatments, etc. that are recommended.

Thank you for your continued support! He starts his chemo Thursday. They are putting in the porta vein first Monday. He will be getting 3 hours of chemo once a week.For now.

Patio your discription of stages are also what I found.

I forget who recommended the book about 50 ways..but I am ordering it! Thank you!
