I was at the last elders school too, but shortly thereafter I did not resign. Like you, minimus, the school really got to me. It was boring as hell. Especially bothersome was the assumption that God was guiding everything the Society does.

Whenever we attended the elder's school, or had a meeting with the CO, one elder and myself talked about resigning because, as minimus said, we could not possibly live up all that was expected of us. That's really how we felt.

Especially bothersome, was the guilt they tried to put on elders for not doing EVERYTHING they were supposed to do

this was funny i recall them blaming the BORING MEETINGS ON the elders and i was sitting there thinking we are serving what you cooked in the kitchen -

i mean how many times can you have the Revelation book or united in worship book at the bookstudy before the friends start to find the meetings boring

i was thinking the Boys in Writing and Service need to stop that CUT AND PASTE they are doing in the mags and KM each month

MORE NEW LITE!!!.......I talked to my elder friend today to find out what was new. Now, if you purposely touch a woman's breasts, that's porneia or fornication. A letter from the Society was read regarding this matter. Automatically, a judicial offense......I wonder what new questions will be asked the offenders.

too deep- i recall at the last school i attended we spent over 25min on defining the differences between Caressing the breast and momentary touching the breast and each carries a different penlty-smile

hey man when you got as many single guys as they have at bethel serving on the committes that put this programs together you get stuff just like this-
