I've just finished this myself - excellent read and highly recommended.
Was there ever even a unified Kingdom under David and Solomon?? Was it King Josiah's ambition and religious reforms that exagerated Israel's history.
Interestingly it was in Josiah's reign that 'the book of the covenant' was miraculously found during temple renovations. (2 Kings 23:2-3). If you wanted to change history and launch a religious reformation how better than by 'finding' a lost holy book!
As if you guys didn't know King Solomon wasn't alive and well....eheh..some freako put this in my yard the other day and I thought you guys might get a kick out of it.
