In the States, we are too impatient to take the time to do that. We put our meat through a machine

You mean to tell me you guys have to grind your own beef into mince?? Outnfree, is this true????? *insert eyes popping outta head smiley here*

Can't you buy your beef already minced?? Goodness gracious *fans self* I don't own a mincer or grinding device...as we can buy our beef pre-minced...we can buy it with different grades, Premium, Low Fat, Top Grade etc. Here we call them rissoles when the beef is mixed in with other things or sometimes Andy calls the rissoles burgers or hamburgers. Its all very confusing for this kiwi-roo who just likes to call them mince patties.

I'm going to lie down now, after learning you have to mince your beef yourself, am still in shock.

A toasted bun slathered with mustard, and lots of onions.

    And plenty of brew.

Chips (or fries) are a nice option, but not necessary.

p.s. Thanks for taking the time away from your arduous work to give us some comic relief. God is surely going to bless you for your sacrifice.

    Beck,

We don't have to grind our own beef. We buy it pre packaged in the grocery store. However if we want to we can pay lots of money for a grinder and do it ourself. Not this lady. I take the easy way out. That is unless it is sausage. I like homemade better. My mom is coming for Christmas this year and she is going to bring some when she comes. My uncle has a hog farm so he makes his own.

    Thanks Lilacs

I'm so dozzy sometimes LOL - I thought that ya couldn't buy pre-minced beef. I happen to think that grinding it yourself would be so much healthier...very lean. What a lot of work though.

Grilled hamburgers with barbecued beans were on the menu today. Who could ask for anything better?

    Cheeseburger is paradise
Medium rare with mustard 'be nice
Heaven on earth with an onion slice
I'm just a cheeseburger in paradise
I like mine with lettuce and tomato
Heinz 57 , French fried potatoes
Big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer
Well good God Almighty which way do I steer
    Cheeseburger in paradise
Heaven on earth with an onion slice
Worth every damn bit of sacrifice
To get a cheeseburger in paradise
I'm just a cheeseburger in paradise
To be a cheeseburger in paradise

Oooh... oooh... can I "play"? Huh, huh, can I? Thanks!

I like [ground] hamburger *meat* (that's the "loose" stuff, Beck), almost any way you cook it, so long as it's sirloin (the other grades don't do well in my guts).

(And since Lilacs named two) - I like my 'burger... medium rare with any and/or all of the "regular" condiments... 'cept bacon (for some reason, I can feel my arteries "clog" at the very thought!)

Only, folks today look at 'cha like ya's crazy now when 'ya order anything with the word "rare" even closely connected, after all the e.coli and hoof-and-mouth, so I rarely even eat 'em anymore 'cause I like 'em the way I like 'em and don't like folks looking at me sidewayz... so it's just easier to order a Club Sandwich...

SJ, on my own, bored silly (can ya's tell?) and waiting for my cold medicine to kick in...
