Hamburger - fluff time

    Here is one that has a different taste, but is good to eat. My hubby loves it.

    Beans El Rancho:

    1 lb hamburger

    1 cup chopped onion (fry these two togeather.)

    Add: 1 teas. salt

    2 tablespoons prepared mustard

    1 tablespoon packed brown sugar

    1 tablespoon vinegar

    1/2 cup ketchup

    1 can pork and beans

    1 can kidney beans

    You can microwave this on roast setting for 12 to 14 min., or however long it takes to heat up.

    Beck, most people buy their hamburger as such, by the word itself, means it is ground at the store. Sometimes, a store will have a special on chuck roast or round steak. I will ask the butcher to grind a piece for me. However, fewer and fewer stores will offer this service any more. Also, we could by an attachment for our mixer and we could grind our own, but we have never bothered. It isn't that time consuming since the device is electric. The advantage of having a piece of meat ground for you at the store or of grinding it yourself, is that the hamburger is more lean, fresh, and less likely to have bacteria. You can cook it rare and be safe.

    How could I forget one of my favorites for the winter months...................Chili! I have my own recipe, and I even sell it by the bowl at the store. I make it with jalapeno peppers.

    Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun.

    Beck: I have a question. Beetroot?, Rissoles? Not sure what that means.
