Doubting Bro, can you link to the post? I'd like to know what's going to be discussed?
I have to say, I'm getting more and more nervous being "an active jw". I have a feeling something is coming, too many changes and directional moves. That Watchtower about being ready to "accept any direction even if it's not logical" had me very very nervous when I was still "asleep".

I found this part interesting from the above link ... giving the Kingdom Halls a commercial, storefront appearance.
The new design will be a bit more commercial in nature – dryvit/stone/ flat roof with parapet / mechanicals on the roof

Self Serve Literature display immediately in the lobby – this first thing you see – it will mimic what the public is used to seeing in our Metropolitan cart witnessing
The whole idea is like “branding” – or “franchising” – and very recognizable building / logo / message repeated over and over across the country.
A brother from Kentucky told me that where definite plans to build a new assembly hall in southern Ohio. All of the congregations had saved $4,000,000 for the project. Well the funds per confiscated by "Mother" and now the excuse is given that there is a hold up in the project due to paperwork. When will everyone wake up and see what is going on? The marjority who can see the problem will do nothing due to family and shunning. The WTBS is a very smart and conniving company.

So it sounds like this will be all new halls, etc... They are going to want to move on this quickly.
What happens to the halls that have just been remodeled? Some Kingdom halls are out of sight, some not even having windows and are down long driveways in residential areas...
Am I the only one that got a feeling that a consolidation of halls will be happening? Any hall that is not visible to the eye will be sold. If people will be able to "see in" they are going to want to make them look "full". If anyone goes on Thursday nights you'll see it's anything but that! I have a feel some for sale signs will be going up shortly...
Wait, so they are going to have all this flashy new carts, kingdom halls, JW.org etc... just to have people come in and try to teach them 100 year old false teachings?

Why such a push in the marketing department? Isn't the organization above that?
I understand Starbucks doing this. They want a fresh image to sell their high priced coffee. But Starbucks doesn't have legions of angels behind them nor do they have the most powerful force in the universe - holy magic spirit.
Herein lies the problem with any religion that turns into a business. You forever wonder which is more important to the organization - the business or the faith? I think it's obvious what the answer is for WT. It is also obvious they do not believe nor do they have faith in what they teach - that they have God's backing and blessing.
