I wonder ... does this mean they will leave the lobby open for visitors to walk in and look around, grab some literature? Seriously .. passerby able to see in, welcoming atmosphere to draw people in.

Maybe if Kingdom Halls are going to be relocated to commercial storefronts along busy sidewalks.

This is nuts. Do the cult leaders think that "worldly people" are going to be drawn into the Kingdom Hall because they are going to go out of their way to drive into the parking lot, get out and look in the window?

Yeah, that's why it seems fairly clear that this change is solely meant to increase resale value for when the property matures. They're in the final stages of the transition from a literature-based ponzi scheme to a real-estate based one.

Think about it, now every new KH built will have this "new design", plus overtime, they will re-build the old ones from the ground up of make it as modern as possible...in short, that's an endless circle that will keep the money and free labor going and going and going...

From reddit, looks like KHs are going to start looking like Apple stores.

The new design will be a bit more commercial in nature – dryvit/stone/ flat roof with parapet / mechanicals on the roof Recognizable Images like JW.org Transparency – windows and a store front like entrance - that passersby will be able to see into Welcoming Atmosphere –this new design will draw people in Self Serve Literature display immediately in the lobby – this first thing you see – it will mimic what the public is used to seeing in our Metropolitan cart witnessing The whole idea is like “branding” – or “franchising” – and very recognizable building / logo / message repeated over and over across the country.
