Good grief. Don't waste your time Xena. You are right. You have a beautiful child and she does make the world a better place with her own existence. As it is a better place with your existence as well. I hope my child/ren someday will be the same. "The world is beyond repair"? I'd say that's a matter of opinion.

I have much more time to help more children!!
I go to children's hospitals and give them toys and play with them.
I work with handicap children and I help my neighbors with their children.
Yes...I guess you could say i am selfish..because i get great pleasure in making a child feel more worthy!
BTW...why don't you jump on the people that agree with me...especially the ones that have children!!
Our lives,indeed our world,is what we make of it.Like Xena,I hope my kids can change the world...I know they can,if they learn to be kind and generous and positive and cooperative.And if they learn leadership.As JW's,we were taught followership,I think.

Lucy, as Realist and Xena have pointed out, this is not the worst time in history. In fact, it is the best time in mankind's history. You should check the facts. I feel very sorry for you and your doom and gloom outlook. Your perspective, simply does not match reality. So far, you have called us selfish, hypocrites, and our thinking is a residual from our JW days. I take offense at your name calling. Certainly your view of the state of the world is a residual of the JW thinking that many of us have over come.
