I would be classed as an apostate, although to me "apostate" would be those picketers outside the assemblies.
My official status is "inactive". I am not df'd nor da'd (yet).

Is my bio true? Yes, totally, and many who post on this board can testify to the facts of what I've been through.
And YOU? Have you been df'd? Have you been shunned by your family? Have you lost all the friends you've had all your life?
For myself, for all I think I've suffered, it doesn't begin to measure up to the amount of pain and suffering that so many others that post here have been through. I consider myself lucky to have survived.
It's simply a matter of perspective and experience. I invite you to walk in my/our shoes for a mile.

Ive been accused of being a Brinsmead and a fordite in my own religion we dont have apostates. So im thinking of getting into the JW religion just so I can get an apostate recongnition. Barry

The JEhovah Witnesses are freakin loons!
And the word when used by them is only a propaganda thought stopper and used for instigating hate, fear amd loathing. (So Christlike and loving) Only hate filled people need to have words preloaded and implanted in their brains. Much like the KKK loons in regard to hate filled language. And the bonus is to outsiders like me we have no idea what the hell the loons are saying. (And now that I do know I care less than before)
So in closing if you are against the loonie JW's then good. Because folks it is easier to be truly happy and loving without jw's in your personal life. And it is blissful when they are out of your mind. I sincerly don't say that out of spite. I say it out of experience.
Of course if you believe that in fact they are a god by proxy then maybe the word is more close to the truth than I would like to believe. This being to those who say I just can't take the lies, hate, and BS of the Watchtower... BUT I STILL BELIEVE THAT IN WHAT THEY TEACH AND HOPE TO ONE DAY GO BACK (vomit) Ya that person might be apostate as defined. And weak too. I mean (shAt) or get off the pot man.
