Fat people suing McDonalds

I loved what Mary wrote about it being insane for people to sue others for their bad habits.

One thing though... is McDonald's the only sourse of food available??? A McDonalds salad may well cost a bundle in her area, but is it so difficulty to buy a few low cost veggies and make your own? (generic "you") I can go to a fantastic health food grocery store and assemble the salad of my dreams for under $2... Mixed greens, shredded carrots, beets, broccoli, peas, sprouts, cauliflower, tomatoes... you name it. If I make my own I have virtually unlimited options and it requires some washing and cutting...

Good food is not expensive, it is generally more effort... like my lentil burgers! YUM!

    Peace to all.

Shera & LB: thanks for the encouraging words! I want to start exercising again, but my doctor says I shouldn't exercise until 8 weeks after surgery. It's been 6 weeks now, so only another 2 to go.

Absolutely not: I'm just giving a rough example. Say you're out shopping with your kids on the weekend and everyone's hungry but you're not done shopping: so you go through McDonalds or another fast food restaurant. A burger is ALOT more expensive that the healthy foods they sell. Even in a grocery store, fresh fruits and fresh veggies can cost you a fortune this time of year.

Actually, I've been eating veggie burgers for the last couple of months (trying to stay away from meat). For anyone interested, LICKS has the best veggie burger (they call it a Nature Burger), I've tried to date.

Well it has been my experience that healthy food tends to cost more..but maybe it is just where I shop....

As for the smoking -vs- fast food debate.....I will agree to disagree with you there. Again just based on my personal experience, which is apparently different from yours

But I do agree it is time for people to take responsibility for their actions and choices...as long as they are fully aware of what they are choosing and the consequences of those choices.

It's cheaper to eat healthy food in the UK, I'm talking about vegetables and fruit. If you want to compare lean cuts of prime meat to shit burgers then that is more expensive but you need to know how to "optimise". Just ask if you need further details.

    Goodnight.
