Are JW lawyers crooked?

  Sweeping generalities dont you think Franois!

  Not all people stuck in the wt cult should be labelled crooked! Its a cult!!! And as such persons are duped, they end up emotionally, intellectually and behaviourally controlled and abused. To say "they just do it because they dont want to lose the family and friends" is perhaps a little insensitive, dont you think? To be ostracised by associates let alone family, and for many all persons you have contact with, it a huge emotional black hole, hence, the reason why cults such as the wt, use this form of punishment for nonconformity, it works!

  Some continue on in the cult with ever increasing inter turmoil, what an atrocious feeling that must be. There are crooked jw persons, and crooked lawyers, but to label all jw's and jw lawyers as crooked really is just a broad generality.

  Lawyers will look at every angle they can think of to support their argument and discredit the oppositions argument, that's what they are trained to do, it does not mean they are all crooked.

You have absolutely no idea what I've lost, what I've given up, what I've gone through for the last 25 years, what I've sacrificed to be free of the JW cult, and I'll say whatever about it, and whatever about who stays in or comes in as I damn well please.   Finally, and in the spirit of closeness, you can take your attitude of moral superiority and slip it right where the sun never shines. I had quite enough of that kind of bullshit from elders when I was in that cult, thank you, and I'll be dipped in liquid shit before I'll take any of it from some self-righteous, holier-than-thou little twerp on a bulletin board. Am I getting through to you dearie?

  There is no such thing as an honest lawyer!!! ( WITHOUT PREJUDICE)

  I know for a fact two lawyers who were witnesses and they were not honest, they use any thing that is possible to twist the law the way they want it to be. My ex husband did assault a person in the Kingdom Hall but was found not guilty. Yet he did it. Go figure. Glenn Howe was his lawyer. And Frank Montrille was the lawyer who handled the transaction for our house and he owned the house as well and he was renovating it and he never completed the work that he said he would do and he said he never said it, and because he was a lawyer and elder and we had nothing written down but his honest christian word we lost out, because well he would never lie, he was and elder and was used by the organization. Bull shit..... Man was I ever pissed and angry and I just started hating people who were liars and used the cloak of the organization to pretend they were honest. Pee U. That was my experience with lawyers in the org. So Frank and Glenn if you read this or hear about this read my above statement included and be assured that God is your judge not me...

  Which one of these dictionary definitions, does not fit Wt Society attorney's role in defending thier client?

  The thesaurus offer's this adjective of crooked;

  Venal....Marked by dishonesty, especially in matters of public trust; Ruthlessly seeking personal advantage;Capable of being bribed or purchased.

  The word 'crooked' is a far more bendable in finite definition than perhaps the word 'criminal' is understood. Although I must admit the later fits quite well, when considering what the wt attorney's must do to defend most if not all of it's (wt) litigation.

  As, like you, I too can say whatever about whatever on this board, it is a public domain and as such understand that my comments are open to criticism and debate, as are everyones.

  You are correct in that I have absolutely no idea what youve lost because of the wt, but you do not have any idea of my struggle and the pain I have been through and continue to go through either!

  I apologise if I have upset you, it was not intended, nor was it intended that you would conclude "a holier-than-thou attitude" from my post. I can assure you, that I do not think I am morally superior, or superior in any way to everyone here, at all!

  We have differing points of view on a subject is all, and hoped to debate the points (not enter into personal attacks) as is the purpose of forums like these.

  Are JW lawyers crooked? I think that is putting it mildly. They are corrupt, and will do anything they have to to protect Watchtower, even if it goes against Watchtower's own religious doctrines that the R&F are expected to obey. They are evil corrupt lying wolves in thier elder sheep clothing. I happen to know they publicly slandered victims of sexual abuse to the news media. They directed elders to lie in the courtroom, they are without a Christian conscience when they face victims in the courtroom. I also heard that they file "friend of the court" briefs in behalf of other churches when it comes to legal battles in the courts. The WTS tells it's youth not to pursue a college education, yet it sends these guys to college to become lawyers, to protect their legal interests, and real estate holdings. I have heard of Bethelites send to law school and knew of one in the circuit I was in who was going to law school. I sat in a depostion and watched and heard an elder, a "friend" lie to protect a pedophile, and later tell my husband "don't you see, if I told the truth the elders would be responsible, and then the Society would be responsible. He later again lied in the Courtroom sat with the pedophile's supporters, and continued his dishonesty, later saying he was directed by Brooklyn to lie. There is not on honest one in the bunch. They are directed by the lawyers for WT.

  Downunderandout, I have to disagree with you about not all JW lawyers being crooked. Don't believe it. Yes all lawyers lie, But these JW lawyers think they have Divine approval to lie, which makes them even more lethal when they come up against their own members in a courtroom.

  They don't help you because they have hearts they are in it for the money and any thing else they can get out of it. Think about it, if it wasn't for the money they wouldn't give you the time of the day.
