Downunder
Like you, I work for corporate legal and I am in contact on a daily basis with lawyers and some barristers. My experience with lawyers in general has been on a more positive level, probably similar to your own. I have seen corruption, especially in the court system, but I have also seen integrity.
Lawyers will look at every angle they can think of to support their argument and discredit the oppositions argument, that's what they are trained to do, it does not mean they are all[bold my own]crooked.
I have to agree with you, with emphasis on the "all". Some are corrupt, no doubt about that, but not all, that is with the assumption that:
Definition
"Crooked" means corrupt.
As for JW lawyers, well I think that they are part of a corrupt religion, and with this in mind combined with the highly recognised fact that most (not ALL) lawyers are corrupt, there seems to be a certainty that they are double dipping in the corruption bucket. But like you, I do not classify all lawyers as such....though I am not resisting the concept that some are indeed crooked and corrupt.
