prop, I am with Francois on this one, however I don't rule out the possibility of manmade or natural disaster killing all of humanity. Does that mean I think the JWs might secretly be right? *LOL* Not in another million years.

    Francois:

I have been looking at your comments and how you vehemently deny even the "possibility" of dire future consequences for mankind. Your remarks have a fog of fanatacism around them. Where you find fanatacism you find doubt.

I am sure that you have a deep seated fear of the future. Lurking deep in your dreamworld is the idea that you are wrong and that these dispicable JW's are right.

Apparently enough people on this board have this same quandry. The "end" seems to attract a lot of attention.

in a word: no (said in a calm, unfanatical voice)

The end came and went in 1874

The end came and went in 1914

The end came and went in 1916

The end came and went in 1918

The end came and went in 1925

The end came and went in 1941

The end came and went in 1975

The Watchtower is a false profit organziation (er, prophet I mean) Deut 18:22

I do believe in the Bible. The end will come. But not by the Watchtower's time table.

God is the true prophet because only He knows when the end will come.

    That is all.

If by "the end" you mean atomic, biological or chemical warfare, then I would have to say very possibly. Perhaps even in the next few years. But as for an Armageddon "end" I'll leave that to God. Whether it comes or not, I'm going to live my life according to my truths and my beliefs. And if God chooses to wipe me out, so be it. In the mean time, I've got enough on my plate right now.

Proplog2, I find it amusing that you accuse Francois of fanaticism because he DOESN'T believe in something. Amusing indeed, coming from the guy who told us that the Tribulation will begin in what? 17 days, now?

    Kettle, thou art black.

Scripturally speaking, perhaps every generation has its end.

I kind of agree most with Random Task on this one. The more I get to know my "worldly bird food" neighbors in this world, the more I know they don't deserve to be totally destroyed off the face of the earth. I still think most people are good and would help their fellow man. Sure there are some nut cases and some evil ones, but why should everyone pay for what a few do? I am having trouble believing the Noah story, even Adam and Eve,.... was everyone on the face of the earth so bad back then they had to be destoryed by God himself? I just don't see it. I always, even as a witness, had trouble believing that at armeggedon, God would destroy all those but JW's.

I also agree with Ruby , I just don't know. I get so tired of worring about it, so I have to quit,,,,,, instead I decide to go out drink, eat and be merry, for tomorrow I might very well die . Oh well!!

We might die in a car wreck or by some natural disaster or by God's hand, or we might not. It is too much to worry about all the time.

Great minimus if the jw's have it right (finally) then I think they will be in deep do do on that day.

And your last comment. (Right on) Every generation.

For me there is some comfort in that.

Ever hear the term "Wait to worry?"

At some time in the future our Sun will cease to provide the heat required on Earth for life to exist. So yes the End Will Come.
