I guess it is tough to admit a wrong, especially when you have proclaimed world wide in 200 languages, in millions of publications, that your words are the manifestation of God's own thoughts on the matter.

You people who post here are some of the most unreasonable and unknowledgeable persons I've ever encountered. Whether you still believe the Bible or not, you can't refute the fact that the Bible itself shows that those ones who shoulder the duties as teachers of God's Word would err, and as a result of such misunderstandings refinements would become necessary. Have you never read Daniel 11:35 while actually thinking about what you're reading? Probably not, since you spend most of your life's time trying to find a fault!

This is an amplification and adjustment in understanding of what appears in The Watchtower of November 15, 1974, pages 703-704, and of February 15, 1978, pages 30-32. Those who acted on the basis of the knowledge they had at the time are not to be criticized. "amplification and adjustment in understanding" - The Society is doing a complete turnaround on it's own teaching....calling it an adjustment.

"knowledge they had at the time" - knowledge that was totally supplied by the WTBTS, which is now wrong.

"person who in the past believed" - why did that jw believe that way? Because the WTBTS told them that's what the Bible said, which means Jehovah said it.

could you show us from the bible where it states that those who god directed would get his message wrong

you see the wt states that god said you could get a divorce for oral sex, it was never presented as an opinioin, but instead as a bible teaching

then a few years later they say that god says no,

could you please show one bible text where those in charge were TEACHING THINGS IN GOD NAME to all the congregations--- when in fact it was thier opinion

you see when the apostles asked jesus was he setting up the kingdom THEY WERE ASKING A QUESTION, - IT WAS thier personal view, it was not something they were teaching thruout the congreagations and DFing anyone who didn't agree with them

yet the wt dfed anyone who disagreed with them on this issue

Well damnation if it ain't the 'postman' himself! I suppose you had similar thoughts about those customer's on your route, that happened to subscrible to unapproved reading material like 'Playboy', 'The Christian Science Moniter' ......did you remove the brown wrapper's from the WT and Asleep mags for the householder, Friday?

Well since you stopped being an active jw in the 70's, I suppose that was the only approved way of salving your consience, from lack of participation in the preaching work.....so it's ok little man, you did what you could. Iam sure your 'sky god' will forgive your weakness.

So before you go throwing around alot of critique about poster's here, you should take stock of your double standards, and when and if you do.......make up your mind who you really are!
