  There is another reason that the WTBTS will continue to allow innocent people to die from lack of blood.........because if they say "We were wrong".............they'll have their lying asses in a sling in Court cases.

  So, like the arrogant Pharisees, they prefer to cover their asses and let the "mud people" die - because they really don't see us as people anyway, imho.

  The WTBTS sees us as followers.

  Perhaps it would help if you were to print out the Daniel 11:35 text in large font (say around size "72") and place in on the wall nearest to your bed. That way you can fall asleep each night trying to figure out how that text bears on every objection you bring up. Believe me, you haven't got the foggiest idea at the moment.

  yep my old roommate is now a little Bethel Heavy he is the CO and DO instuctor for KM school since he was 31yrs old

  so he ain't going nowhere despite the fact that he KNOWS the org has issues, his view is AS SOON AS THE OLD GUARD DIES OFF we can make some real changes in the org,

  one of the things he has often admitted is that Legal is taking a greater role in the direction that the org is going in- sounds like most amercian corp who are concerned about legal issues-

  as has been mentioned to admit that they were wrong would open them up to all kinds of lawsuits - you would think that being humble they would be willing to admit being wrong regardless of the cost since thier god is backing them - we know that if they admitted being wrong he would not leave them out in the cold,

  the problem is you like the boys in writing have misapplied the bible text

  the text in Duet doesn't cover the boys in writing and that is the problem- you can't just take a text out of the bible and say THIS MEANS THIS OR THIS APPLIES THIS

  THAT is the whole problem - in fact that is what this thread is all about, folks willy nilly taking a bible text and telling folks it means such and such

  then demanding that they accept their explanation and if not you will be DFed

  you can't claim to be the only channel to pure and clean water in a city and then decide to run some Sewage down the pipe and tell all the residents in town not to worry about it cause we are the Water Dept.

  do i think every single teaching of jw are wrong , of course not, the wt has many bible based teachings- i don't think i should steal , cheat on my wife and beat of old ladies for fun,

  but by the same token wt has teachings that are not based on the bible but based on the OPINIONS OF MEN,

  now in and of itself i have no problem with that as long as they are presented as such, BUT THEY ARE NOT and you can't deny that - you can't run away from that fact

  and that is the problem all we are doing is pointing that fact out the same as we did when we were jw we pointed out the errors in other folks religion,

  as long as we point out the man made terachings of other religions is was a good thing ,

  yet when we measure wt by the same yardstick there is always an objection

  your objection is merely a reflection of the things you have been taught- the same as we all have been

  for example the mere fact that you can be Dfed for merely reading this post should cause you to pause , yet it does not

  i could see if we were cussing and showing dick and pu$$y pictures- but instead we are merely expressinng different opinions on matters and for that you can be DFed

  if i were still serving as an elder according to the current policy in place you can be brought up on charges and if you refused to acknowledge that you must not be on this site

  you would be DFed and YOU COULD APPEAL AND IT WOULD BE REJECTED

  do me a favor --ask your neighbor or some of the guys at work what do they think of a religion that kicks it's members out for being on the internet talking to former jw discussing dogmas

  Ask them: "Bob what would you consider a religion to be -if it forbide under penlity of Excommunication you from going on the internet and discussion issues concerning dogmas, policies, rules, etc"

  yet as you read this post you belong to a religion where by if you get caught being here or as i like to say if the elders WANT TO MAKE AN ISSUE OUT OF YOUR BEING HERE THEY CAN and there is nothing that can do.

  while your elders may not do anything to you IF THEY SO CHOSE they could make an issue and take it all the way to a judical case , DF you and you appeal on the grounds of you can surf on this site and it will be turned down by the Appeal commmittee,, if you then appealed straight to the Service Desk- they too would turn down your appeal after the elders explain that you felt YOU HAD THE RIGHT TO SURF ON JW.COM

  the wt has been very clear about dealing with DFed and DA persons - as recent as august the KM covered this material again, and why cause more and more jw like yourself are disregarding the DFing rules and it shows actuallly that you are not as much of a supporter as you claim

  many of us recall when we were like you Defenders of the Cause

  so keep posting and keep reading at least i know you are thumbing your nose up to wt instructions and directions

  On the subject of teachings that severely impacted the lives of believers, while reading this discussion I was reminded of the WT article during the mid-90s that changed the Society's position on alternative or civilian military service.

  I distinctly recall that, after justifying the "adjusted" understanding that now permitted civilian service in lieu of military service, a paragraph posed the question, the substance of which was: Should one have regrets who, in the past, may have suffered(customary sort of WTS diminisher for "had to serve a prison term") as a result of refusing such civilian service? The response, of course, was that such one had followed his own Bible-trained conscience in arriving at the decision to refuse alternative service and should, therefore, have no regrets for having suffered for the sake of his Christian conscience and for righteousness sake.

  The two-by-four that finally demanded my attention. No more kicking and screaming to remain in denial. This was one arctic blast of insight for me into the very depts of the Society's deviousness and arrogance that, for all intents and purposes, obliterated what few remaining illusions I'd been desperate to maintain about "the truth" for some time.

  Anyway, I thought this "adjustment" fit perfectly in any discussion of WTS-screwed lives. Problem is, I cannot locate the paragraph that I know I read. I thought it should be found in the May 1, 1996 article, "Paying Back Caesar's Things to Caesar," which does discuss the change in view of alternative military service, however, I find that particular passage in neither the bound volume nor the CD-ROM.

  Anyone else recall this passage and have an idea in what article the paragraph can be found? Is there a chance the article was altered back in '96 before the printing and distribution of the bound volume for that year? If so, I'm sol as I have chucked all those old individual issues of the rag mag.

  I can only imagine just how many people lives were ruined for believing that the society's rules were actually scriptual. The society doesn't get any better as the years pass either. In fact, the progressively get worse and progressively hunger and demand more power. The are in NO WAY humble, loving, or caring for their own followers. As a matter of fact, they come right out in the kingdom ministry and insult their own followers by telling them they can only merely "locate" scriptures and explain simple doctrine of their sect. The FIRST thing the instruct their followers is to direct , RIGHT FROM INITIAL CONTACT, any intested people to themselves/organization. NOT the bible. I agree with others who say that JWs have a Watchtower trained conscience and NOT A BIBLE trained conscience.

  This is from a kingdom ministry from April, 1993 that PROVE that the only motive or concern of the wbts is to gain more publishers and not more disciples.

  " Direct Interest to the Organization: From our initial contact with interested persons, we should be directing their attention to the organization. While we may be able personally to locate scriptures and explain fundamental doctrines, we are not the source of such knowledge. Everything we have learned has come from the organization, channeled through the slave class that supplies "food at the proper time." (Matt. 24:45-47) From the start, new ones need to realize that pure worship involves more than just us or even the local congregation; there is an organized, theocratic, worldwide society operating under Jehovah's direction.
  4 The direction we receive originates with Jehovah, who has promised to guide and teach us. (Ps. 32:8; Isa. 54:13) This instruction is disseminated primarily through our literature. If we can help interested ones develop a high regard for the literature, recognizing it as a source of lifesaving instruction, they will be far more likely to read and apply its message than to discard it quickly.   That is step one in the process instructing their brainwashed followers to start brainwashing people that they meet at doors who show interest int the BIBLE. Only later on in the article does the soceity mention the Bible.

  And if you think they have got any better, they haven't. Take a look at these few teachings that most DEFINATELY ruin the lives of "it's" followers!

  Read them and everyoine here just think about how you would feel as a brainwashed watchtower follower.

  one thought out of many that have gone through my head is, If I were a JW and one of my loved ones or loved friend was going through "extreme spousal abuse", would I NOT pressure her or him to separate? Of course I would!!! It is a matter of life or death!

  I do see something wrong with a spouse FORCING any sexual act on their mate! that is called marital rape".

  It's sickening how when the wbts make changes they are called adjustments 95% of the time or "minor changes" and all there followers need to "adjust their thinking" to the wbts's instruction, but yet they print articles saying that a simple change in Catholics such as they can now eat meat on fridays is supposed to "deeply disturb" them into leaving their religion. The WBTS should stand for The Watchtower Bullshit Telling Slimeballs. That best describes their organization in my opinion.

  *** the above is why my mom stayed with my dad all those years- my folks divorced the last week of Sept 2002 they both are 60yrs old, she should have left when she was young and pretty some 30yrs earlier, how sad

  just ask yourself how many of the Cheese Cracker Men around the world would even consider such a thing as marital rape if a sister told them that their husband was forcing them to have sex

  Whether you still believe the Bible or not, you can't refute the fact that the Bible itself shows that those ones who shoulder the duties as teachers of God's Word would err, and as a result of such misunderstandings refinements would become necessary. Have you never read Daniel 11:35....

  Then the wbts FALSELY CLAIM that they have "accurate" knowlege of the Bible and for one to speak negatively or show disrespect for themselves or any other 'fellow imperfect humans" who they have appointed is and act of disloyalty to God himself. They have NO AUTHORITY or right to make ANY RULES and symbolically hand other fellow humans over to Satan for not obeying their rules. Knowing that they are going to err. They are FALSE teachers ina every way possible. They FALSELY TEACH that only associates of their organization can gain salvation. And all THEY can do is find fault with other religions.

  What they teach as supposed teachings of God is destroying many many many many of their followers lives. They will have to pay the price for exhaulting themselves and for becoming so puffed up with pride and for all their greed.
