I have`nt set foot in a Kingdom Hall or,had anything to do with WBTS bullshit in over 2 decades..Here I am on this board, yakking it up with dubs of verying status, every chance I get..LOL!! Good question, wish I had an answer...OUTLAW
I recall, in my pioneering days, pounding many a street on the territory. Many houses were pointed out to me that belonged to inactive brothers or sisters. We would even see people on the street and the older sister that I partnered would tell me stories of them being witnesses that had just stopped coming for one reason or another!
That was a concept that I never understood at the time, how somebody could claim to be a witness but not attend the meetings. I do remember accompanying another sister on many occasions, calling on these "fade aways" in order to "encourage" them, or at least leave them some "food at the proper time".
I do wonder from time to time, how long do I have to keep up the pretence and am I prepared to live the rest of my life in dread of them knocking on my door, especially this time of year when I will have to keep my curtains shut so that the tree won't be visible from outside.
I read something recently about the clamp-down on inactive people and the offer of another study. That scares me! I don't want any confrontations and am not yet ready to da or whatever.
I'll probably do nothing until they catch up with me and make a decision then.
