I do not know if Rev is mentally unstable, a con man or working for Watchtower, but in any case...

I think that the answer to all this is extremely simple. Bill has set up several businesses that were successful for a while, and whenever he didn't get 100% support from an employee he disposed of that person immediately. He's also been an elder for a long period of time and is used to controlling others.

Now, I suspect for the first time in his adult life, Bill is being confronted about his attitude and his overbearing way of dealing with others. I don't think that Bill has ever had anyone stand up to him before, and I'm pretty sure that he didn't anticipate anything other than admiration when he started up SL.

He must be totally bewildered by what's going on, running a site for abused kids would not normally cause such a backlash surely?

Unless...unless he expects the support of ex-JW's, and, as everyone knows, ex-JW's won't tolerate even the remotest sniff of bullying tactics from anyone.

That's it really, he's just not equipped to deal with anyone who confronts him. Mind you, a lot of us were like that once, including me.

Those smilies have been there since the announcement of the new forums although these are not the same smileys, it looked like this there were a few more words, but I can't recall them...

Something to that effect, when clicked it took you to the new site, now obsolete. The links to the forums are no longer there and the smiles are all that is left.

I thought deeply before entering the fray, but I feel it incumbent upon myself to draw your attention to a number of points that you make in your note reproduced on this forum today. As I was and am one of the persons who has criticised you in recent times, I also feel it neccessary to defend my own stance.

As far as I can see your modus operandi, or at least some aspects of it, have been criticised by Ray Franz, James Penton, Amazing, Ros, Carl Jonsson, Hillary Step, Simon, Englishman and now Rev, not to mention many heavily involved in Silentlambs behind the scenes who have come to the conclusion that distancing themselves from you is the only safe way to live at the moment. The readers need to be reminded that Silentlambs is the product of many people.

Are we all working for the Watchtower? Are we all Watchtower 'plants'? Can you not see a pattern emerging here?

As I mentioned to you a few months ago, you need a professional 'mouth' as yours is continually working against your own aims and given the pride that you have shown in continually ignoring and the demonizing the advice of many who have more experience in setting up non-profit organizations than yourself, you are merely reaping what you have sown in these frustrating exchanges with those who start out as zealous supporters and end up as your 'enemies'.

What Silentlambs is going through is by no means unique to newly established non-profit organizations. I have set up a good few myself as I have informed you in the past. Infighting will destroy the movement within a year unless a Board of 8 -12 members is assigned to the running of Silentlambs. These should be experienced persons and not those with any hidden agendas. Silentlambs will need to be depersonalized to succeed. It is understanble that XJW's might carry much emotional baggage with them, but this needs to be dealt with at a personal level.

It is not rare, or even particularly offensive for a person to fall headlong in love with their own press Bill, I have done it myself on occasion. I truly believe an element of this is alive in these issues, perhaps you have not even admitted this to yourself yet. I also am aware that you do have some advisors Bill who's spell you seem to have fallen under in recent months. Are you convinced that their only interest is 'for abuse victims'? Do you have the confidence in their advice that allows you to publish their names publicly as would be necessary for a non-profit organization founded on established principles? Be careful Bill, people are not always what they seem to be.

If you take a moment to look through the advice that I gave you on this Board a few weeks ago, which produced an aggressive reaction to say the least, you will note that much of the advice that people are now giving you has already been stated in my notes and my posts to this Board. Why is this advice falling into a repetitive pattern? Is this a conspiracy against you?

Can you not see that you are damaging the very cause that you claim is your only real interest by your repeated verbal and political gaffs. What would you think of a politician that ran his Government as you do Silentlambs? Whether you like it or not Bill, when you founded Silentlambs and took up its cause, you became a politician.

I would be more than willing to debate this issue with you publicly if you so wish.

Yup. You can only get to the summit once you have traversed the Hillary Step. Which is, I believe, about 28,000 feet above sea level and the last obstacle before the gentler slope up to the summit.

"Panorama"), he was the "bee's knees ". Now it looks like (to some people)he's gone AWOL....

SheilaM & all the others who have been discouraged, hope you are feeling much better about this whole thing soon. Silentlambs have survived much worse in their lifetime remember and so have all exjws.

As is now becoming obvious, It isnt only the Watchtower that will hear the lambs roar if if they turn on someone in the abused class!

Thanks to you all for clarifying this. I recently participated in the worldwide mailing that included a link to SL, and would not like to see that melding experience degenerate into a lost cause.

My heart to victims of abuse that may be feeling abused again.

Who ever these advisors are, and I think that I may know, the question undoubtedly arises as to whether it is a desire for control or help for abuse victims that is their prime mover.
