Wednesday, the version I heard of that story growing up was that a young pioneer out by herself decided to do one more door and that the man she got at the door happened to be a rapist who was also murdering his victims and burying them in his basement. The story went that when he was arrested, they asked why he had not raped & murdered the witness girl and the man said it was because of the 2 big men behind her.
